Food has always been wonderful at Daikanyama, but the new renovations create a completely different and improved ambience. Private dining areas, fountains, and a reconstructed kitchen are all wonderful improvements. While sushi is the specialty at Daikanyama, the entrée menu has been expanded and there are other good choices available.

I've been here many times, and having spent significant quantities of time in Japan, i can definitely say that it is consistently some of the best sushi I've had outside of sushidai, or daiwa sushi, or edogin, around the Tsukiji market in Tokyo. The seasoning of the sushi rice is such a subtle, sweet acidity. I have been known to... More

Business lunch here was very good but loud! We all had the maki lunch special and it was fantastic. 3 rolls, soup, salad and fruit for only $13 was s great value. No problems parking since it was off of the main road. Hostess was charming and service was very fast. Recommend!

I always get the lightly grilled salmon lunch special when I come here. It comes with tasty miso soup and salad to start, and the entree itself is beautifully laid with several more edible items. Always fresh! Definitely worth the price. All under $14!

From the Spicy Lobster Miso Soup to the Wasabi Maki, all of the choices at Daikanyama are great. Recently remodled, the restaurant is now much quieter than before. The staff is friendly and attentive; my water glass and mug of green tea never go empty. Even the House Salad with diced red peppars, asparagus tips and ginger dressing is delicious.... More

We have gone here a few times now and every time we walk away happy! The sushi is so fresh and delicious and I love how they have some unique sushi options that you don't see anywhere else. You can order off an iPad which has beautiful pictures of the sushi on it so you know exactly what you are... More

Pleasantly surprised with the meal here. They have a very large specials menu with extremely creative sushi and everything is presented beautifully. The specials are presented on a tablet and you can scroll through and see the pictures which is a nice touch. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff was friendly and apologized for being slow although it really... More

Our large party was handled gracefully on a busy night. The room is small but modern and clean. Our waitress was helpful and efficient. The food was fresh and presented with artful care. A very good experience and will be back.

So many choices, so little time, and such beautiful presentation. The dining room, itself, is beautiful, particularly at night. Soft light, soothing colors, little noise. The menu features a dazzling array of nigiri, maki, sashimi, and "sushi as art" creations, supplemented by (the evening we were there) 56 additional specials offered on a hand-held tablet (which, we discovered after playing...
