Four of us had dinner here prior to a Capital Steps show. Had we known how bad it would be, we would have gone elsewhere. We were forced to sit outdoors ("large groups only" indoors), the hospitality and the service ranged from hostile to indifferent and the food was mediocre. We hated it. We'll never go back.

This is a great local favorite at the Cranwell Resort, with great bar food, reasonable prices. The service is usually great and if you sit outside a great view of the golf course. What is not to like?

Stopped by for lunch. Was seated outside, adjacent to the Golf course. It was fine as far as that was concerned. My burger was tasty and the service was efficient. On the other hand, I was surprised at how drab the inside of the tavern was. Looked more like an outdated breakfast diner than a tavern at an upscale resort.... More

As a guest of Cranwell, I have eaten a light dinner there with my wife, twice in 3 weeks. It is convenient to visitors and much less pricey than the main dining room, so it makes sense. Except the food. I got a simple grilled chicken sandwich, overcooked the chicken. The cole slaw was fresh and good. The side order... More

We stopped at the main building hoping to have dinner in the main dining area. Unfortunately there was a private party utilizing the area and so it was suggested we go to the Sloan Tavern instead. It is a bit of a trick to find one's way around the grounds, a map would have helped but we managed. The dining... More

The menu was varied with a bent towards "pub" food. It is part of the Cranwell Resort and worth a visit just to see the place. we ate there twice so it must have been good.

The Tavern was relatively empty when we arrived, just a few other tables already dining. We ordered appetizers, wings and flat bread, and iced tea. The tea was clearly made from a mix and had that stale, fake flavor. We then waited 40 minutes for the appetizers to arrive. The wings were standard, but the flat bread was terrible. The... More

We stopped for lunch at Cranwell, an upscale resort in Lenox Massachusetts. I had been their during an earlier incarnation when it was a Jesuit prep school and boys camp. We sat outside with a great view of the second green and the third hole. I started with a tasty Bloody Mary . Lunch was a Lamburger. It was nicely... More

a menu change but the food remains good but the service was very slow on a recent Wed lunchtime visit. Price are not anywhere in line with the amount or quality of food but then again this is part of Cranwell so you are catering to tourists and not locals. There are many other restaurants in the area that have... More
