Summer BBQ is to die for

My partner and I joined some friends for the Summer BBQ at the Wheatleigh. Let me tell you it was the best meal I have had in a long time. Just when I thought I couldn't eat any more, they brought out more mouth watering food. It never ended. It was worth every penny spent.

The setting is lovely, but there is a sense of overreach and poor execution. The first problem is the wait staff: all very eager, very young, and very inexperienced from many different countries. The restaurant is trying to project an aura of sophistication, but the waiters are all dressed in their own ill-fitting suits and wearing sartorially challenged ties. They... More

Wow, this place as great food, nice wine list and great staff. From entering the facilities to the exit this place is 5 star. After diner drinks outside near a fire table that was very nice. Dining room is on modern side. Again great food and service. Will go back

We stopped by Wheatleigh for lunch and the restaurant lived up to its reputation. Lovely dining areas, beautiful view of the mountains, and excellent food and service at reasonable prices. What more could you ask for?

Get here perhaps once a year - really beautiful grounds - lots of places for a drink before dinner. Quiet, well-managed and lustrous dining room with views of the sunsets. Food remains tremendously imaginative - great combinations that really work in all realms. (And a strong wine list.)

Intimate and exclusive setting in a truly remarkable stately mansion and overlooking the rolling green hills of the berkshires. This spot feels very luxurious - service is traditional and impeccable - no detail is too small to be tended to. We celebrated a special birthday with family and all around the experience was perfect and memorable. Food was beautifully prepared... More

Elegant and sophisticated, perhaps save for a special treat. Food very good, and expensive. This is not Berkshire casual.

We were staying at The Wheatleigh last weekend, so had lunch one day. The only option at lunch is The Library, so my review is for that. The room is weird. It was a library at one time, but now has no books, just cabinets of china along the wall. It's extremely crammed with an odd layout of many many... More

We had dessert and breakfast at the hotel. The dessert portions were extremely tiny but delicious. For breakfast I had poached eggs with ham and my husband had bagel and lox -both were delicious.
