The lunch here was delicious but again the service was slightly slow for the very few people dining. The sandwiches were delightful. Grilled Cheese done to a new level.

Up in the Berkshires on my own, I meandered over to Bistro Zinc to sit at the bar for dinner. Mussels were OK, salad wonderful, but all of the folks at the bar were friendly and open - sort of like "Cheers" only I could have been one of the cast.

Reasonably quiet, and very pleasant ambiance, combined with good service and good food - my beouf bourguignon was superb (even if it could have used a few pearl onions and perhaps a few more mushrooms - the sauce and the meat, tho, were outstanding).

The food and service was just ok. In particular, the service was a bit off. The atmosphere was generally good but loud. It's likely a better bet during the summer season.

There are a few truly excellent restaurants in Lenox and Zinc is one of them. The atmosphere is upscale chic, the prices fair to moderate , their main selections are all good to great and their soups are the very best. There is a seperate bar room with sopme cocktail tables and a seperate entrance. Convienent free Parking . A... More

I had a really lovely Sunday afternoon lunch at Zinc! We were greeted promptly and as lovely as the dinning room looked, we decided to eat at the bar. The bar space is set off from the main dinning room and there are sweet bistro tables set in there if you want a more casual environment. (I am a sucker... More

Enjoyed the evening, cocktails were good, the service was excellent and the food (both the Bouillabaise on the table d'hôte and the salmon) were well cooked and very tasty. The roasted beet and chêvre salad appetizer was amazing. The manager suggested a reasonably price wine from Spain that was absolutely delicious.

Zinc used to be a top spot in the Berkshires. Unfortunately, it is no longer the case. It is tired-in need of some updating. The food is average-at best. And if you take into account its cost--it's below average. The wine list is too eclectic-focusing only on French. And the service is "iffy".

We were visiting Lenox for the Caroling Festival but the weather was less than accomodating. We ducked into Bistro Zinc in between the rain drops. The restaurant is spacious and stylish with an emphasis on French cuisine. I had French Onion Soup which warmed me from head to toe and my husband chose a burger with frites. The service was... More
