Old fashioned place--food fair to good

July 4 and many restaurants in the area either closed or jammed with customers. We were heading to Lenox and found this place with a nondescript outside and a dark grotto like inside that seemed like it was stuck in the 1960s. Large platter of tasty moo shu pork about $10 and a platter of chicken... read more

When we visit the Berkshires we have to go eat here at least once. We usually have so much leftover. Good helpings on the dishes, we had Hon Su Gai, very good. Their goldfingers are the best anywhere. We also had ribs, very good and their fried rice is the best, huge helpings I wasn't crazy about the chicken wings... More

You can't beat this place for lunch. If you like Asian food this is the place for you. They have every dish you can imagine and it is all tasty. This is not Haute Cuisine but good, filling food. The prices are better than reasonable. I have also had dinner there and it was also excellent.

This place is way better than average Chinese food. Where we live you can't easily get decent Chinese food so when my g.f. brought me back some Chinese after going out with drinks I was psyched. I got to say, Chinese is very subjective, more so than most takeout. For me though, this place is great!!!

Stopped in over Christmas and sat at the bar to have appetizer. the bartender, a big man in late 30's or early 40's was surly at first. Thought maybe he was having a bad day but watched him throw a spoon to a table who asked for one and threw our changes on the bar. Of course our "Merry Chrismas"... More

For a consistently good and quick meal, than this is the place . the décor could be upgraded ,but the food takes your mind off the ambiance.

Places like this don't exist much any more. It has an old school Polynesian atmosphere inside akin to the old Trader Vic tiki places of my youth. The host seated us quickly and the service was very very attentive. The food was really solid. We ordered several lunch specials and thought it was a really good value. The food was... More

If your looking for good Asian, the BEST Asian EVER, this is the place to go. My husband and I love this place and will visit every time we go to the East coast! Large portions, and amazing authentic taste! I thought their flavors were really good, NOT too salty in my opinion! I love Luau Hale!

Nothing special, despite the well kept inside appearance. (Parking lot needs to be re-paved - badly.) The food was too salty and all tasted the same. The veggie steamed dumplings were tasty but gelatinous. Sesame tofu was tasteless.

We have loved a number of Polynesian themed Chinese restaurants - many similar in look and feel to Luau Hale - and were really looking forward to eating here on our visit to Lenox. Sadly, we were very disappointed. The egg rolls were good, the spring rolls were OK, and the spare ribs were actually excellent. But everything that was... More
