Outside of restaurant feel weird, dim lighting on the inside but service is great and food excellent!

From the outside the place looks old, shady and creepy, primarily because there are no windows, when going inside place has a nice hawain theme with the murals on the walls but the lighting is very dim. The hotel which we were staying at recommended this place, at first we didn't know what we were... read more

I have been going to Luau Hale since I was in high school in the 1970's! I have visited over the years, even bring my children there when we were in Pittsfield visiting their Grami. My daughters loved it and it's funky atmosphere with the moonlit Hawaiian mural on the dining room wall! Food has always been very good and... More

We were passing through this area and stopped in hoping for a traditional Chinese dinner. The parking lot was full so we thought we had found a good place. What a disappointment. The dumplings were totally doughy and almost inedible. The fried rice was salty and very dark in color with otherwise no taste. The sizzling wo-bar was not sizzling.... More

The place was old and dingy, food was awful and had no flavor. Very limited menu for a Chinese restaurant.

Food is authentic and well prepared. The sit-in dining is pleasant. Portion sizes are appropriate for price paid.

This place looks pretty sketchy from the outside, so I had to check it out. I was hoping for a real kitchy 70's Chinese food experience, but alas there was nary an aquarium to be seen, though there were a few strategically placed tikis at the bar. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the drinks. I had an... More

I will never be patronizing this restaurant again. About 3 weeks ago, few of my friends and I arrived about 10-15 minutes in front of the rest of our party because we had about 14 people and wanted to give the wait staff time to set up before a barrage of people came in. The wait staff said that they... More

food is ok when they decide to be consistent in portion size, ingredients, and temperature . However take it home! Inside smells like mold and urine. Roof leaks in the back theme room. Ice been going there since I was a kid. I can't not sit inside and eat any more the smell is too overwhelming to me. All I... More

The BEST fried pork dumplings, ever. I will never eat the "cheap" Chinese food delivery in my town, ever again; the drive is worth it. Awesome atmosphere, and Kai us the best wait staff!
