Dining is a very special event at Blantyre, Relais & Châteaux. Late every afternoon, the Main House undergoes a lovely transformation as we prepare for the delightful dining experience to come that evening. Linens are brought out, tables are set with sterling silver, fine china, crystal, and fresh flowers. Beautiful music fills the air and candles are lit. Under the knowing eye of Chef Arnaud Cotar, the kitchen is a hive of activity as the finest ingredients are used to create a memorable, outstanding dining experience. When you arrive, you can enjoy a pre-dinner glass of Champagne and canapés on the Covered Terrace or in the Main Hall, or sample one of our rich red wines in the Music Room. When your first course is ready our host will escort you to the dining room where your delicious dinner begins. Enjoy a glass of wine from our Wine Cellar, the recipient of the 2011 Grand Award Wine Spectator. Should your evening plans include a Friday or Saturday performance at Tanglewood or Jacob's Pillow, you may wish to postpone dessert. Upon your return, coffee, an assortment of cheeses and a beautifully prepared dessert buffet is served in the Music Room. In keeping with our house tradition, we require gentlemen to wear a jacket and tie. We also offer 24-hour room service.

While in Boston, I booked a side trip to the Berkshires and stayed at The Blantyre. We were only able to book for one evening as they were booked the three days prior. Our experience was wonderful! As soon as we drove up and were greeted, I didn't want to leave .. and didn't. We were early and they gladly... More

After several previous and wonderful visits, we were looking forward to dinner at Blantyre during our June 2015 visit. When I pulled up to the house, I noticed that the white Bentley was missing. This was the first clue that something was wrong. Approaching the front door, I noticed that it was wide open; clue number 2! Upon walking in,... More

Dear Michael G We were so disappointed to read your review, which seems to have begun before you entered our establishment. We too miss the grey Bentley, which was generously parked here while our owner’s Father was still with us. It is our standard to welcome all of our guests in The Main Hall, and we are so glad to... Blantyre for lunch as we toured the Berkshires. Requested the Prix Fixe lunch as advertised on their website. Waitress told us that was no longer available, still on the website because they are doing an upgrade... Really I have a commercial website that be updated in a matter of seconds. I ordered the cob salad that was a horrible mix... More

Dear Missymom53 We remember your luncheon very well and are surprised by your poor review as we thought you left us quite satisfied. As you experienced, we certainly do honor the pricing as noted on our website. Regardless of our oversight, we were happy to make such an accommodation to your bill. When you dine at a place as expensive as Blantyre you expect, of course, that the food will be outstanding. Yet, the price includes the whole experience and Blantyre delivers value from the moment you are greeted in the manorial foyer, through the before dinner aperitif and during the meal itself in the classically appointed dining room. As a Relais... More

The atmosphere was very elegant. They turned over one of their sitting rooms to a private dining room. The service was very attentive and non-pretentious. The dessert was limited in... More

This place is simply sublime, probably for a special occasion, since it is very expensive, You start with drinks on the beautiful outdoor terrace, watching deer prance by, then you're called into your wonderful dinner in a smallish, candlelit and beautifully decorated room. Husband's halibut was the best he ever had, he said. My lamb was melt in your mouth... More

While visiting Tanglewood I arranged for lunch at Blantyre in Lenox and a tour of their very large wine cellar (Wine Spectator Grand Award) by wine director Cristelle Cotar whose husband Arnaud is the chef.
