Dining is a very special event at Blantyre, Relais & Châteaux. Late every afternoon, the Main House undergoes a lovely transformation as we prepare for the delightful dining experience to come that evening. Linens are brought out, tables are set with sterling silver, fine china, crystal, and fresh flowers. Beautiful music fills the air and candles are lit. Under the knowing eye of Chef Arnaud Cotar, the kitchen is a hive of activity as the finest ingredients are used to create a memorable, outstanding dining experience. When you arrive, you can enjoy a pre-dinner glass of Champagne and canapés on the Covered Terrace or in the Main Hall, or sample one of our rich red wines in the Music Room. When your first course is ready our host will escort you to the dining room where your delicious dinner begins. Enjoy a glass of wine from our Wine Cellar, the recipient of the 2011 Grand Award Wine Spectator. Should your evening plans include a Friday or Saturday performance at Tanglewood or Jacob's Pillow, you may wish to postpone dessert. Upon your return, coffee, an assortment of cheeses and a beautifully prepared dessert buffet is served in the Music Room. In keeping with our house tradition, we require gentlemen to wear a jacket and tie. We also offer 24-hour room service.

Blantyre for lunch as we toured the Berkshires. Requested the Prix Fixe lunch as advertised on their website. Waitress told us that was no longer available, still on the website because they are doing an upgrade... Really I have a commercial website that be updated in a matter of seconds. I ordered the cob salad that was a horrible mix... More

The atmosphere was very elegant. They turned over one of their sitting rooms to a private dining room. The service was very attentive and non-pretentious. The chilled tomato scallop soup was perfectly prepared. The salad was fresh with and abundance of locally grown green. I had the Prime Rib and it was cooked to perfection. The dessert was limited in... More

This place is simply sublime, probably for a special occasion, since it is very expensive, You start with drinks on the beautiful outdoor terrace, watching deer prance by, then you're called into your wonderful dinner in a smallish, candlelit and beautifully decorated room. Husband's halibut was the best he ever had, he said. My lamb was melt in your mouth... More

While visiting Tanglewood I arranged for lunch at Blantyre in Lenox and a tour of their very large wine cellar (Wine Spectator Grand Award) by wine director Cristelle Cotar whose husband Arnaud is the chef. We had a Marsannay, Kistler Sauvignon Blanc and Chablis with lunch. They are a member of Relais & Chateaux. There are 8 rooms in the... More

Last time I went to this establishment the food was sub-par and the prices are very expensive. It is a pretentious restaurant and it should be exceptional on every visit. I have visited this restaurant in the past and the food was acceptable, but again very expensive.

This was quite possibly the most elegant, delightful dinner we've ever had. This was a conference dinner back in April, and the service, the food, the ambiance were all top notch. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Excellent service combined with offerings from a talented chef made for a pleasant evening. Cocktails in the music room with complimentary canapés preceded the dinner.

We had a corporate dinner at Blantyre and it was truly magical. The food is exquisite and the atmosphere is truly legendary. You absolutely must take a tour of the wine cellar while there.
