Late lunch

Perfect spot for a late lunch in Great Barrington -- delicious caprese baguette with pesto for lunch, and being able to have a glass of wine with it was an unexpected surprise!

We had lunch here twice this week, for various reasons. One, everything you order from the kitchen (soup, salads, quiche etc.), or pick from the bakery or patisserie display tastes as it should, really French. Two, there is nothing wrong with making it mostly a pastry lunch -- the selection among fruit tarts, cakes, croissants and other patisseries, is just... More

This small French cafe was a delectable lunch stop for my wife and I. We ordered sandwiches and soup and the home-made bread was wonderful. After lunch, we ordered a bow-tie pastry, a raspberry pastry, and a blueberry macaroon. All three were amazing! The total for the three pastries was $8 something. The staff is friendly and talkative with customers.... More

So many outstanding choices it was difficult to make a choice. Absolutely charming place with friendly service - outdoor seating is great for people-watching.

Even after 6:00 p.m. the selection of excellent and authentic pastry was impressive. The croissants lacked volume but the prepared pastries are beautifully done.

True french pastry shop. Almond croissants to die for.The tables inside and out front are great for people watching with your cafe au lait. Plus, great salads and lunch options. Don't overlook this gem.

Fresh ingredients and everything made to order, so plan to wait for your sandwich or salad, including fresh brewed individual coffee. There are a few tables, take a # and wait for your order, or plan to get it to go to a local park or the Lenox green to dine.

We don't eat baked goods too often these days, since one of us is GF, DF and sweetener-free, but we made an exception during Passover/Easter weekend. Our splurge proved well worth a couple days of stomach and joint discomfort. This charming patisserie not only offers delectable sweets, but also serves savory items. We lingered before the display cases, chock full... More

I was so excited to eat here again after a wonderful experience last year! We went for an early lunch of coffee, croque Messieurs and fresh squeezed orange juice. Everything was delicious! However, the woman who served us and made our food was extremely rude. It was so bad I was tempted to request our money back and leave. My... More
