There are so many great places in the Berkshires to eat that Nudel didn't do enough to wow me to want to come back. The food was okay... Nothing special, nothing horrible (minus the octopus ... I'm confident it was frozen). The peach beer balsamic was good and my husband loved the unique cuisine. But we are unlikely to go... More

Nudel is a tiny restaurant nestled in a small complex of stores in Lenox. We found out they don't take reservations so we put our name in and had a 45 minute wait. We strolled around the town of Lenox a bit; luckily several stores on a Saturday evening were still open till 8 p.m. Nudel is a farm to... More

This place was a gem that we found last minute. We had seats at the counter with a first class view of the kitchen. Very fresh, local and original menu. Very well run organized operation. We loved everything we ordered, food was delicious and beautifully plated! Highly recommend the counter seats if you can score them.

Our B&B owner recommended we try Nudel and it was a treat. Salads of sliced peaches and cucumbers with faro and mint, breaded deep fired eggplant with cukes, arugula and white beans, kale with chopped shrimp and pecorino, fried semolina bread, and great mussels with a carrot sauce, were all wonderful taste treats.

The shaved peach and cucumber salad was delicious and so were the shiitake mushrooms, but the portions were nouveau-tiny. The entrees were a bit disappointing - my partner is vegetarian and the only vegetarian option was penne with tomato sauce, i.e. boring (we considered asking for another dish without the meat component, but they state on the menu that they... Interesting and tasty menu but relatively limited choices and portions on the smaller side. The space is small (expect a long wait) and loud.

We had an amazing dinner there last weekend. Grabbed two seats at the bar (come early or you'll wait) and devoured peach and cucumber salad, pork belly tacos, a porky pasta with olives, and a seared Arctic Char that was divine. The waitstaff and chef are young and would have easily fit in (along with the food), anywhere in Brooklyn.... More

I always look forward to dining here when I'm in the Berkshires. If I lived in the vicinity I'd dine here weekly. Always interesting limited menu that's perfectly prepared and served properly... hot dishes are piping hot. The simple but tasteful atmosphere sets the tone that it's all about the food. The tables are close together but you don't mind... More

The bar for dining is a treat as another reviewer said. Watching the kitchen staff do their magic - a special treat. Totally New York City caliber in the Berkshires.

Recommended by several "foodie" friends I finally decided to wait it out (no reservations) and snagged a seat at the counter. Watching Byorn - the chef/owner- artfully plate every dish was a treat only sot passed by the imaginative combinations in the seasonally changing menu. During this visit we sampled chopped corn salad topped with blue cheese , butter lettuce... More
