We live in Sydney, Australia and chose to have our daughter's Bat Mitzvah at the Gateways Inn because we have ties to the Berkshires having grown up there. Eiran and Michele went above and beyond to respond to our long distance communications and arrangement requests and ensure the day was perfect. They were very flexible in how to set up... More

We stopped at the Gateway both nights we were in Lenox. There was a Jazz duo one night and a cabaret singer the next. Comfortable and cozy venue. Kudos to the owner for promoting local music.

We are local to the area and had just been to see Julius Caesar at Shakespeare & Company down the road. We were looking for somewhere to enjoy a quiet drink after the show and decided to try Gateways as we had heard people saying it is very nice. We went in and the bar tender Paula was so friendly... When locals join the Inn guests at the Gateways restaurant you already know something special is happening. Every meal I had was noteworthy. After having the Inn's Seabass I swear I will never eat lobster again! Succulent and memorable. The pork medallions melted in my mouth and even the sirlon burger was cooked to perfection and scruptious. And let's not... More

Thank you so much for your review. I loved reading it but you mention pork medallions and we don't serve pork. I believe it was beef not pork that you had. I'm so glad you enjoyed your time with us and your meals here as well as the music. We look forward to your return in the not too distant... More

Our recent wonderful stay at the Gateways Inn was highlighted by the delicious dinner which we had in their dining room. The entire meal was artistically plated. We especially liked the presentation of our appetizers, an assortment of three tasty chilled soups and red and yellow beet salad. Our striped bass entrees were absolutely delectable. The scrumptious lemon torte and... More

I had an exceptional dinner here on a Thursday evening - a crepe appetizer that was amazing and guinea hen for my entree. While my dessert was delicious, the crepe and guinea hen were superb. This was followed by a glass of port from their extensive selection before moving to the lounge for tea and music. My waiter was everything... More

We ate here after a brief wander around Lenox. We ordered different cold platters which were quite expensive and not very wonderful. Two cherry sodas came in at $7 which seemed a lot for water with two cocktail cherries at the bottom of the glass. Service was ok and the surroundings were nice. The best part, however, was the young... More

My husband and I had a great dinner here on a Saturday night. We each had salad and a beef dish. Service and food quality were quite good. We do dine out frequently in the Boston area and this compares favorably. The standout, however, was dessert. Get the homemade ice cream. Our favorite was mint chocolate chip with mint from... More

We brought our parents out to dinner to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. Both the food and the service were absolutely fantastic, and the hospitality was superb. I have traveled and dined at nice restaurants for over 25 years, I would rate this as one of the best meals ever. I highly recommend this venue and I will most certainly... More

This is a lovely place. The innkeepers make you feel at home, the food is attractively presented and delicious, and the bar has live music where you can relax and enjoy a drink after dinner. It doesn't get any better.
