Good pub atmosphere and colonial feel

My fiance and I had dinner there after climbing Mount Greylock earlier that day. It was the perfect spot for a good New England style ho dinner to rejuvenate ourselves. It has a real turn of the century colonial tavern feel to itself. Staff were very friendly and eventhough it was packed with... read more

Generally good food with good service. They do a good job at servicing business meetings as well. We had continental breakfast foods and a nice lunch.

We were a party of three. We were given our choice of tables and picked one overlooking the lake. My companions had the New England Clam Chowder I had the Lobster Ravioli. They both had the Veal Oscar. I always order off the specials at most restaurants so I had Cajun Salmon. The Veal Oscar was very rich and the... More

Not being hurried makes a restaurant so much more pleasant. Even on a busy weekend night, I felt that my enjoyment was more important to the owners than getting the table "turned". The atmosphere is great and that makes the food even better.

I shouldn't complain, it was after all New Year's Eve. I asked the hotel front desk person to make a reservation at a family place- something pub style maybe with a fireplace. This restaurant was the only reservation she said she could get. Not a pub style at all! $24.00/$25.00 for an entree? And, the entree was not good. No... More

Outstanding atmosphere, good service and good but not gourmet food. We return there for nostalgic reasons, but would recommend for anyone who feels that atmosphere is a must in the dining experience.

While the restaurant may appear to be bland, the kitchen is what keeps this place in business. It's all about the food. Local seasonal dishes, as well as the typical American staple dishes, whatever it is, it is very good. Staff was very professional, price was reasonable, and the serving size was about average.

The ambiance in this place is adorable. They sat us in front of the fireplace and it was so nice. The main dining room has a nice view of the lake. We sat and had appetizers and wines and it was great. Staff could not have been nicer

After driving by this restaurant for years and regret not visiting sooner. What a wonderful meal! The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. We will be back on our next visit to Western Massachusetts.

My husband and I went to Cork & Hearth for our anniversary. It is a great place for for a special night out. The ambiance is gorgeous, with wonderful views of the lake. Food is well presented and delicious. Keep in mind, though, that this is a meal designed to be slow and relaxing. Savor the food and the decor... More
