Went for dinner here on a Thursday night. The place was empty except for a few customers. Haven't eaten here in several years, but remembered a very good dining experience the last time. This time it was just okay. The service was friendly and prompt. The menu was limited, predictable, and a bit on the pricey side. The food quality... More

We dined here the second night of our visit to the area, and coming off of a great recommendation from our Innkeeper the previous night, were anticipating another wonderful meal. We were disappointed. I ordered the roasted duckling, which had been recommended, but it was very dry and bland. It came with a dipping sauce, which was an appreciated source... More

We were there with family to celebrate a birthday. We were seated at a table with a view of the lake, very beautiful. The food was prepared exactly as we asked and very delicious. Our servers were very attentive and helpful in describing the menu selections. Overall, we all enjoyed our selection of this restaurant. It is located on Route... More

My wife & I visited after a Tanglewood performance. Restaurant has nice overall rustic atmosphere. We decided to eat in the tavern area. The steak sandwich & burger were of very high quality & reasonably priced. Bartender was very friendly & poured a very good dry martini. Will return again.

Restaurant sits on a lovely lake, professional service, clean and spacious. We had 2 appetizers and 3 entrees. The steak was fine but the mussels and crab cakes had very little taste. Sides of baked potatoes and zucchini reminded me of school lunches. I will avoid in the future.

We ended up here on a Sunday night when there were few options for a last minute reservation before Tanglewood. The dining room was dark and dated, but there was a lovely view of the lake. The salads that came with the main courses were pedestrian, and the sole Almondine special was tasteless and greasy. My husband made a point... More

A real treat in the Berkshires - authentic old building with many antiques, super view and splendid - delicious food with correct (modest) portions. Attentive and correct service friendly too. Good wine choice. Prices reasonable.

The dining room was decorated in an old fashioned, New England style. It was a bit too dark. Service was slow. When I received my duck, it looked like it was fried. I asked the waitress (yes, politely!) if it was fried and she got very defensive: "A lot of people love that plate, etc" and walked away in a... More

We went to cork n hearth for dinner tonight. The room although dated overlooks the lake and has a lot of nice landscaping both inside and out. Unfortunately the quality of the food is very poor. The coconut shrimp had a very good Thai sauce but the shrimp themselves where very uninspired and overlooked. I then had the veal which... More
