We met Joe! Supposedly the counter model for Norman Rockwell's The Runaway

Very simple food, sandwiches, soup. We arrived close to closing so the specials were not available. Lots of great pictures of celebrities who had dined at Joe's in the past. New owners but Joe goes there to eat every day.

This is a diner, no more, no less. I thought it was a little over priced, too. The service was a little slow, and the mature server was tired and not all that helpful. The food was good. We enjoyed a bowl of chili and a sandwich. Classic diner food, It is cash only, which is a pain when you... More

The diner of childhood memories, a classic neighborhood treasure. Norman Rockwell used the setting in one of his most famous paintings.

Came here for a quick bite after visiting the Norman Rockwell exam and was happy to hear it was the inspiration for one of Rockwell's painting. We both ate for 15 dollars and were plenty full. There is nothing fancy about the place but the staff was friendly and the food fit the bill.

My fiancee and I went here on a Saturday morning. We both ordered the meat lovers omlet. Full of sausage, ham and bacon! More than I had expected and a fantastic price! Definitely will return for lunch or dinner one day!

Made famous by Rockwell, it's the diner that you have got to go to in the Berkshires. Solid diner food in a traditional town diner space. Bring the family. Just go!

This is a classic dinner, Really good breakfast food. I had breakfast here in Spring of 2015 and returned in the fall, twice. The service is speedy. The woman working at the counter was funny and friendly and smart! It's got a great atmosphere.

Totally agree that the older waitress is rude to out of towners! The food was average at best. Would have enjoyed McDonalds more.

Food is typical diner fare at reasonable prices, But, you are entering and sitting at one of Norman Rockwell's favorite haunts. Rockwell fans will recognize the "joint" as a number of his famous illustrations use Joe's counter as the focal point. This alone requires at least one visit. Known for breakfast and comfort food dinners like beef stew and meatloaf.... More

Had breakfast here three times. Joe's has to be the least expensive breakfast place in the Berkshires. Where else can two people have a well prepared, filling breakfast for $15! Don't expect a coffee refill unless you ask for it. The waitresses appear to tolerate out of town visitors, but are not friendly. Everyone should go here at least once... More
