Joe's was recommended, however closed. Makes no sense to me that a restaurant would not want out of town business. Other dining options also closed in Lee that morning, should fix problem and be open for hungry travellers!

This is not an imitation diner, it's original. Although the new owners replaced the 1950's counter a couple of years ago, there is still a lot of the old details in this place. For the past six years, we have gone there during our semi-annual trips to the area. Prices are very low and the food is decent. Many locals... More

New owners don't serve the same quality of food that the original owner, Joe Sorrentino served. Still a decent place to go for a quick breakfast.

We came here for lunch before traveling back home. The service was average. The food was pretty good. The atmosphere is nice and historical. The price is pretty reasonable. We will probably stop in again when traveling through.

Wow does this place need a good cleaning. We have been there several times, but probably done with it now. The famous Rockwell cover with a cop and a kid on a diner bar stool was done here, and we stumbled across this randomly on our way through on a visit. After the history wears off, the place is dirty,... More

This is a small historical diner. The food was very good and inexpensive. The waitress was great. Funny, very quick and friendly.

Over the course of our 3 day stay in the Berkshires, we ate at Joe's 3 or four times. We went originally for the novelty of sitting at the counter that was famous from Rockwell's illustration, but we came back because the breakfast was good. Nothing fancy, but priced fairly and hit the spot. PS Bring cash, they are old-school.

I dropped by for breakfast on a recommendation. A simple setting with tables and a counter which I like when dining alone. I need to watch my fat intake so I ordered oatmeal. I asked for fresh fruit but was told that they did not have fresh fruit. I asked if they had applesauce and they did so I asked... More

Any visit to Lee is not complete without a meal at Joe's, founded 1955. It's still a small-town diner, just like the one that Norman Rockwell painted in the famous picture with the runaway boy (wait! that IS the same diner where he painted the picture). The officer in the picture was Officer Obie from Arlo Guthrie's ALICE's RESTAURANT. Lots... More

Great food at great price. I was advised that this is where the locals go, and loved that it is the actual diner for the Norman Rockwell runaway painting. The atmosphere is the quintessential old fashioned diner. The food was tasty with good portions. There were 4 of us, and we all enjoyed our meals.
