Great for breakfast and lunch. Gluten free cakes and muffins and very good coffee. They also have a good choice of salads on the menu.
Sandwiches, paninis, and crepes.....sound interesting? What if all the ingredients were fresh, locally sourced and everything, even the crepe itself, was cooked to order? Oh yeah, now I've got you salivating. The only thing left to say is that the food tastes even better than it sounds! I had a crepe filled with brie, baked ham, and sliced apple. It... More
The breakfast crepes were very good. The service friendly. The wait a bit much but that's because it is so popular with locals and travelers. Coffee was okay but our tastes tend toward more robust coffee. I would definetly go back.
We stopped off in Lee on our way to Pittsfield and the Mohawk Trail. It was a very hot day and we were looking for a place to have a light lunch. Stumbled upon this place, name slightly off-putting, but were glad we went in. The food, we had panini, soup and cakes, and had more than we planned because... More
I'm a bit surprised at the high reviews that I read about the Starving Artist Café. We were there in July 2013 and did not care for the food. The crepes themselves were fine, but the fillings left much to be desired. In addition, they totally messed up our orders. Nice people, but I would pass.
This is a nice place to look at the art and have something to eat. The food is fine and the cause is better! This little restaurant has a gallery next door. The art is always interesting and the restaurant supports artists with learning differences.
Crepes are their speciality, both savoury and sweet, with many choices. They also have panini's, soups and delicious cakes and cookies. Prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is casual and there is an art gallery too.
The food is great. The workers are very friendly and upbeat and the money is for a good cause to provide vocational, academic, ans transition services for young adults on the autism spectrum. its also allergy-friendly as many items are gluten and/or dairy-free and all are vegetarian. prices can be a bit much, depending on what you get
The crepes at Starving Artists are tops, simply out of this world. Light, delicate, and stuffed with whatever you want: breakfast fixings, sandwich fixings, veggie fixings, dessert fixings. Order a crepe a la carte and enjoy a side salad. Wi-fi and artwork complete this popular hangout. Not much on decor other than the original art. But the crepes and the... More
My husband and I were walking and almost past this wonderful place. It was in the afternoon and we decided to try a crepe. I had the pear, almond and ice creme crepe. My husband had the organic strawberry and whipped creme one. Both were excellent along with coffee that was served in a handled mason jar. Very clean place...wish... More
