Cool concept --- casual food in a casual art gallery (photo) with a portion of the proceeds going to kids with autism. Looking for a break from five days of the same old continental breakfast at our hotel, we headed for the Starving Artist because we read about their crepes. And they did not disappoint. I had a breakfast crepe... More

This restaurant is casual; you order at the counter. Their wooden tables are mostly bare, & they have paper napkins. You get your water out of a dispenser with a spout; the water glasses look like small jelly jars. There's a large side room that serves as an art gallery with pictures on the wall. Their specialty is organic sweet... More

The lunch salads and soup were excellent. They had a special Sunday brunch menu but willingly served us a salad on the regular menu. The restaurant is in the middle of a very attractive shopping street in a typical picturesque town. We stopped here on the way to The Mount in Lenox - a short drive.

We were here this past week. They do not follow the hours posted, so we were glad to see they were open. You must place your order at the counter and then sit down and they serve your order to you. The crepes are excellent. Service good also. Wooden tables are very sticky and need to be cleaned better. Drinks... More

Sop & salads with well meaning student servers, all fairly priced and locally made. Wife had interesting faro-tomato soup, I had generous apple-chevre salad. Coffee generous, tho nothing special

What a great concept! A beautiful art gallery with a delicious menu of crepes, salads, and breakfast sandwiches. They also have smoothies , tea and coffee drinks. The food was hot and nicely prepared. I believe that 15% of all the proceeds go to children with autism spectrum disorders. The artwork is beautiful and for sale.

There were eight of us and they didn't mind that we combined tables to sit together. We pretty much all had different things, and the food was great. They could have used a bit more help as the guy who was delivering orders got a bit confused at times but it was very busy on a Sunday morning. Or maybe... More

I can't eat cow's milk, and I'm trying to cut out gluten, and I was hungry. This was the place for me (Us, actually - there were 4 of us returning from The Mount.) This simple cafe sources its ingredients locally and offers yummy smoothies, juices, salads, sandwiches and most importantly for me on this day: gluten free (buckwheat) crepes.... More

My 2 friends and I took a trip to Lenox last week and wanted to stop in the area before we checked into our hotel. We parked our car and was immediately was drawn to the Starving Artist Cafe and Creperie. It is run by interns at the local college. Having a daughter who took Culinary Arts in college, I... More

They make interesting and delicious savory crepes. The Reuben crepe was delicious, with a tasty, locally made sauerkraut. The beet salad was fresh and flavorful. We liked it so much we went back 2 days later for a replay. Inexpensive, delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere.
