I informed the server of my celiac and she serve me a GF plate with regular rice. I asked for my meal to be made again without rice and instead of making me a new plate. They just removed the rice so my food was cross contaminated. I found rice under my beans still. I immediately started to feel sick... More

Best Mexican restaurant we've eaten at since Mexico - Just like the off the beaten path neighborhood restaurants we enjoyed while travelling throughout the country. The flavors of real Mexican cooking are here at this restaurant. Besito's in Hartford is a close second. Special shout out to the multi-talented Larry behind the bar, and co-owner Mary who played hostess for... More

I have only been here for lunch, and though I'd love to review their margarita selections, I haven't had the pleasure. Don't look for salads in a deep fried tortilla bowl here, the selections are more authentic* than that. My goto is the chili relleno, which is light and flavorful with a mushroom sauce (and rice 'n beans) - my... More

My wife and I have had lunch at the café a number of times. The food is great, the service can be somewhat slow if the café is crowded. BTW, when they say the food is hot, they mean HOT! My wife lived in Mexico and she says that the food is the real deal.

Nice local restaurant. Service is fantastic. They try to treat everyone as family. The special are very good tasting and well worth the price. They offer a full bar and their dessert are great.

This is a nice, quiet, family restaurant conveniently located. I enjoy having lunch with co-workers. They have a variety Mexican food and good customer service.

Very dim lights, hard to see what your eating. Food tasted stale, and the tortilla chips were hard - I thought I was going to lose a tooth. Sad.

If you're from out of town like I am, you might find the area pretty dead and the area appears to be a low income, predominantly Hispanic neighborhood with abandoned buildings. Not unsafe, but the area has seen better days, but it being dead means plentiful parking. It was decently busy on a Thursday night, not packed and not empty.... More

Café Azteca is truly a "go to place for REAL Mexican food". Never have been disappointed. Had my grandson's graduation party, with about 75 people, here and Café Azteca could not have been more accommodating. Recommend everything on the menu.
