Noisy, with many rowdy people at the bar. More of a boozy joint than a restaurant. Lackadaisical staff acts like you are an imposition to be there. Strange flavors in the food, like pancake syrup in the shredded beef(?) No surprise to me they have gone out of business. Good riddance!

I think this restaurant has a chance of being very good if they stick to authentic Mexican recipes and do not get "creative" with the ingredients. Adding maple syrup to their shredded beef is just plain weird and makes for a scary combination. Also marinating the carne asada in honey mustard is another non Mexican thing to do. Mexican food... I should have turned around as soon as I walked in. At the hostess stand, employees were standing around, blocking my entrance and chit chatting. It was when they were done with their conversation did they acknowledge my presence. I ordered Jalepeno Poppers and I thought that they tasted ... a bit odd. I found out later that I was... More

I have scoffed and mocked this place as I have driven by but tried it tonight and I thought it was really good. My five star review does not indicate that it is gourmet, but who really wants fancy Mexican anyway? The chips were warm and not at all greasy. The salsa had some serious depth of flavor. A little... One of the best salsa that I have had locally and the Fiesta Samoler plate was delicious. Went on a Thursday evening around 8:30 and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend!!

A friend had eaten at the La Paloma in Quincy many times and loved it, so when they opened in Kingston, he was excited. He said the food was amazing, and so we had to check out the new location. I had never been to the first one, but was not impressed with this new place. Our waitress seemed very... More

We first began to go to the La Paloma in Quincy many years ago. It has always been an outstanding experience. The Kingston location is just as good with perhaps a touch more hospitality...but i'm splitting chips here. And by the way the chips and salsa aren't the usual bland or too hot appetizer. The chips are warm and tasty... More

Five of us came here to celebrate my firends birthday and everything was wonderful. My chicken enchiladas with a mole sauce were exquisite. My friends chille rellenos was perfect. Everyone raved about their meal. The service was also excellent, right there when you need something, friendly and professional. I can't wait to go back.

We've tried it twice. Twice two many. The last time, I ordered a mole sauce. It tasted like hersheys chocolate syrup. Good mexican food can be wonderful. Not here!
