If you are looking , for that home cooked made to order meal, and if you are not in a rush.. We recommend Mike's place...... We have been going here for over 15 years or so... the business is established, and you cannot Deny the experience, behind this chef.... go and taste it for yourself....... We would recommend weekend reservation,... More

We recently returned to this old favorite of ours, but ended up very disappointed, despite the excellent food. We have been coming here since the mid 1990's when we moved to the area, and we knew Zabagliones isn't known for speedy service. We expected to spend about one and one-half to two hours, and had early reservations (6:15pm) to avoid... More

This is our favorite restaurant in Ipswich. It is very reminiscent of the North End Restaurants in Boston. I highly recommend the stuffed veal chop.

Very quiet and intimate atmosphere. The waitress was extremely pleasant and helpful. I have very particular needs to due to food allergies and the chef was very accommodating without taking away from the food experience.

Four of us were lucky enough to get a table on a Friday night without a reservation. Zabagliones is quite small, and in the past quite crowded and impossible without reservations. Evidently the increased competition in the area is taking a bite out of business, which worked out well for us. Wait staff was friendly, attentive and efficient. Dining room... More

Zabagliones is a small, intimate restaurant with European charm. I ordered a Caesar salad and eggplant 'parmesan,' which is what I customarily order from any menu where it is offered. The salad was very good, but the eggplant was hardly prepared with skill. It was served with angel hair pasta that was not thoroughly drained so the eggplant and pasta... More

If you are looking for an experience like eating at a friend's house where your friend is an expert chef this is the place. The kitchen is out front and the place is intimate. Granted your friend is going to charge you at the end of the night however the portions are large and the meals are sometimes uniquely paired... More

This place is not for anyone looking for burger and fries. It is high end cuisine with the best of ingredients. My husband and I stumbled upon it as we walked around Ipswich village. The posted menu looked good if a little pricey for what we were looking for, however we decided to go in and though of maybe just... More

We love this place and frequent it once a week for either lunch or dinner. Their Italian food is positively delicious. The best stuffed veal chop ever. Delicious fried calamari appetizer. Cannot say enough about this restaurant. It is really excellent.

My family and I went to Zabagliones twice in recent weeks - we went the first time for my daughter's high school graduation dinner and since it was great, we went again for Father's Day. The Father's Day experience is why I'm commenting - as I noted, the food is really good, but on this occasion our wait person started... More
