We were on vacation at the cape and wanted a break from seafood and found this place. I recommend it. Good tapas wide choice and had a great time. I would go back next time in the area.

We were referred to this restaurant from the Long Dell Inn. The martinis were as great as we were told. I love the music and the trendy/ bar ambiance. We had the lobster arancinis which were not great, but everything else including the stuffed mushrooms were excellent

beautiful layout and décor. not a large restaurant, but more of a great bar with really good food. lots of locals. not crowded in fall but must be very busy in summer. good service and menu selections. wish it were in my hometown.

My wife and I visited during our anniversary trip to Cape Cod. We were walking down Main Street in Hyannis looking at menus of all the restaurants. A nice local gentleman told us to try Embargo. We were glad we took his advice. Great jazz combo playing and a fantastic tapas menu made for a fantastic dinner. Try the Lobster... More

We were visiting Hyannis for a couple of days and tried the restaurant based on reviews. The drinks were horrible. Not sure what it is they call tonic, but I do know there was little to no gin in it. We complained to the bartender and he did nothing. Based on the drinks we only ordered one item, the steamed... More

This review is about one thing and one thing only.. That the bartender would not put extra booze in your drink. Maybe that's how you do it in Texas, but it is illegal in Massachusetts. All of our drinks are the same size pour, and we sell thousands a week without complaint. Wouldn't life be wonderful if all you had... More

I love tapas and never knew until I visited Embargo. I've been here several times and try to try something new each time. Loved almost everything I've tried (not a fan of the Gorgonzola Flatbread). Service can be a bit slow at times, but the food is worth the wait. Lots of yummy beverages as well. Happy hour with half... More

We had planned to sit outside but in the end sat in a booth after enjoying several cocktails. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive recommending both cocktails and tapas options. I agree with an earlier comment that this isn't tapas as we know it in Europe but we're in Massachusetts and I don't think there was any pretence on... More

The hold and cold tapas at Embargo would be first rate at any time, but during happy hour (4-6) and all day Tuesday, they are a great bargain, selling at half price. Note 1 is that tapas containing lobster are not discounted. Note 2 is that by Mass. law, drinks cannot be discounted. The venue in on Main Street in... More

Great food and great service in a great location. The small plates ( tapas) makes it easy to choose several to get a great sampling of food. See you soon.

The tapas are amazing. We had a vegetable terrine, marinated artichokes on spinach, skirt steak, I forget what else but this was one of the best tapas restaurant ever and we have chosen tapas on three continents so far. We enjoyed the street life walking by. The servers were a real delight and very obviously enjoyed working there, and eating... More
