What a treat to discover a restaurant where the atmosphere, food, and service all combine to create a memorable evening. From the moment you walk through the front door you realize that this is not your typical CC restaurant. The lighting and colors of the interior make you fell as if you are in a classy restaurant in a large... more

We tried this for the first time last night. What a pleasant surprise. The main feature is tapas, and there is a wide variety. My wife and I tried lamb, bruschetta, beet salad, arugula salad, scallops, mushrooms and the cheese trio. All were wonderful, and we were quite full. Our favorite was lollipop lamb chops. Our least favorite was the... more

The Tapas are so different from the other places I've been to. They are HUGE! More like appetisers really. I loved everything we ordered. Our waiter who was aptly named "Shaggy" looked pretty scruffy but was attentive, friendly and professional. He talked us through the extensive menu. We drank $7 Martinis served at the table in our own private shakers... more

My wife and I headed to the Cape for a quick romantic getaway on a Tuesday Night. We weren't expecting much to be going on as we drove dow Main street in Hyannis looking for a a place to eat. We were right nothing! Then we saw a burning torch in front for a really great looking restaurant. It was... more

We went to Embargo for an early dinner and loved it - especially when we got the bill and found that the tapas were half price. The service was topnotch -- friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, especially the chorizo with beans, tomatoes, and aruglua. The kobe beef burger sliders were great, too. I have heard the place gets... more

My husband and I took my sister and brother in law out for her birhday at Embargo's. We called for reserving one of their famous booths the previous day and were promptly seated. Our waiter was informed about their extensive menu. We wanted to try one of everything. We were served warm bread and garlic oil for dipping - and... more

My date and I went for a late dinner at emBargo in Hyannis, which started off nice. We ordered out drinks and tapas. I will say that the food was good, but after we got our cute little tapas it all went sour. For our entertainment we watched 8 (yes eight) bouncers throw 2 different guys out. We had 3... more

When we walked in we were immediately impressed with the high ceilings, cool lighting, large semi-circular booths, horseshoe-shaped bar, and the overall look. But when we took first sips of our cocktails we knew we were in trouble. Too much sour mix killed the margarita--we never send things back, but it was undrinkable--and when it was remade, it came out... more

Best food I've had in a long time. This was one of the only trendy looking places on Main Street, and tapas sounded good, so we stopped in. It just happened we were there early during their happy hour (4-6, i think). Happy hour at Embargo means $.99 oysters and half-priced tapas. Everything was unbelievable. We must have had 6... more

The tapas were wonderful and interesting. A few of the standards (tortilla española for example) were conspicuously absent from the menu, but what was there was new and exciting. The service was not great (at one point we sent the busboy to go find the waitress after she disappeared for quite a while, then when we ordered desert wine she... more
