Get there early and expect to wait a bit, but that's OK as you can sit along the harbour watch the fishing boats come in and they will buzz you when your table is ready. Great appetizers and the lobster was fabulous. A must go place.

The fried clams were nothing to rave about. It was expensive for the amount that was served. I have had better fried clams at other restaurants.

For me, dining in the US is half about the atmosphere and half the food. Spanky's was recommended to us by our B&B hosts and I think they steered us right. First tip: You can park free in the public lots on North street and walk the few blocks to this harbor side restaurant. Second tip: Depending upon the weather,... More

No doubt a highly popular place given the crowd that was there the evening we ate there. Located in the heart of the Harbor area, The restaurant appears to be some magnet destination for tourists. Being those ourselves, and following the recommendation of the manager of our hotel we went there for dinner. What a crowded noisy place! For many... More

We really enjoyed the view from Spanky's! Our food (Clam Chowder, Stuffed Shrimp, Fried Shrimp, and Fried Clams) was delicious and reasonably priced. Parking was convenient, also.

We came across Spanky's when looking for casual waterfront dining where my husband could dig in to a steamed or boiled lobster. It's harder to come by than you'd think, so Spanky's fit the bill. The views are great. The service was great. The food was "meh." We started off with a side order of fried clam they were delicious.... More

We were looking for some good seafood. Ordered the Lobster Roll and my wife had the Fish n Chips. This was one of the best lobster rolls that I had ever eaten. The coleslaw was very good as well. Both meals were very satisfying.

Our party of five had everything from steak tips, to bouillibaise, baked stuffed lobster, shrimp scampi, and fried shrimp. The service was quick and accurate and we enjoyed the frozen mudslides and assorted martinis. Parking was a challenge at 7:15. But that's to be expected. (One of our party eats a gluten-free diet and the waitress brought out her menu... More
