Great food

We stopped by here on a weekday, pre-season cool, rainy evening. The manager was very nice, the waitress even nicer, and the food was delicious. My wife and daughter had the Cape Cod Stew which was a delicious red sauce base and delicious with clams, scallops, and shrimp (I believe). My wife and... read more

Hang Ten on this one. Talk about a harbor view! The best in the town. Real clams, not imitations and plenty of them. Make a reservation on Saturdays and especially in the evening. Electrifying night life at the bar section. If you want to return home raving about Cape Cod and its clams don't miss this place.

We drove from Delaware to visit Tugboats so that my wife could experience their lobster bisque. When we got there we were surprised to see a sign saying they were closed for the season. My mistake, I know, but still disappointing. We ended up going to the Black Cat and had a great lunch before traveling on to Boston.

Food here used to be excellent but not any more. Entirely mediocre seafood plates with the now to be expected $25 price at lunch. Too bad, some years ago I had the best twin baked stuffed lobsters I have ever eaten.

Garth the bartender is a gracious bartender. When my wife requested a drink not in his repertoire, he googled it and made it to perfection. Nice guy to boot! The fried fishermans' platter not only had great seafood but the oil was fresh. After all, no amount of fresh seafood would be tasty if cooked in tired frying oil. Pretty... More

Tugboats was recommended to us by locals. Tugboats is not inexpensive but the amount, quality and preparation of the cuisine is well worth the money, The sunset view from the terrace is breathtaking. The onion rings are plentiful and perfectly prepared for crispness and no grease. The dinner selections are prepared to your taste. Our Server Roger did an outstanding... More

As I heard another reviewer comment Tugboats have the great veiws and they know it. As much as I would agree with this statement I believe the varied experiences noted here are due to the attitude of one or more of the servers in the restaurant. We arrived just before sunset and were able to get a table out on... More

The bar at Tugboats offers the best water view of Hyannis Harbour. They have added 3 new draught offerings as of September 2014: Shipyard Monkey Fist IPA, Shipyard Pumpkinhead and Sea Dig Sunfish. This is in addition to Yuengling Lager and Stella Artois.

The food was fair to good. Waitstaff average. When asked for a recomendation our server seemed like she never tried the food. But what makes this place special is sitting outside overlooking Hyannis Harbour. At night its Magical.

Tugboat is a favorite restaurant. The meals are generally good, and come fast when ordered. Therefore, if you order an entry, changes are that the main course will arrive a few minutes after. Service is friendly, the food is fine. Nothing unexpected, but the charm is really to be able to sit outside on the deck, see the boats pass... More
