After reading the TA reviews, we were apprehensive, but decided to give it a try. So glad we did. The clam chowder was very good, but not the "best" as advertised, because it was too salty. We also had the gigantic, but expensive lobster rolls ($25 each). They each contained the meat from 2 lobsters, more than we've gotten anywhere,... More

Riis is a really popular restaurant. We had a gorgeous dinner. We shared crab cakes to start which were lovely and had a bit of a kick to them. I really enjoyed the baked stuffed shrimp as a main. The shrimp were coked perfectly, the stuffing was delicious. The red skin mash potato side was fantastic, a favourite of mine!... More

Had lobster bisque and a seafood platter. Wish we had returned to Spanky's Clam Shack across the street. Their bisque is richer and lots more lobster. Their whole belly clams were better also.

Average food that is too expensive. Lacks quality and the service was poor. Go to the Naked Oyster on Main for a great experience!

Second time I've been here and it was as great as the first time. The chowder is something you must have. Just order the bowl you will love it that much. I had the steamers as my meal. It was a perfect amount and they were all delish. I would recommend this to everyone!!

Great chowder, all the fish dishes were excellent. Great location across the street from the harbour and the ferries. Great outdoor eating area.

There is something on the menu for everyone. The baked stuffed chicken was excellent. There is valet parking, live music in the bar and indoor and outdoor seating. If you have to wait for a table it is worth it.

We walked past the Black Cat Tavern and there was a sign stating that they had "award winning chowder". I am a huge chowder fan so my husband and I went back at dinner time. There were so many people there! The wait staff were almost running to get things done. We decided to just get the chowder to go... More
