A long wait for good food

We went here for dinner on a Friday night after taking a sunset cruise. We put our name in around 8:30pm and were seated around 9:15pm. The hostess and bartenders outside were not very friendly, but our server was great and our food came out fairly quick. Good lobster roll and fried clams.

I was recently in Cape Cod ( July 31, 2015 to August 2, 2015). I stayed at the Hyannis Harbor Hotel which is right next to the Black Cat Tavern. We walked by and decided to stop in as we saw signage for their award winning Chowder. This place was great! The Clam Chowder was indeed excellent- we compared all... More

Our hotel recommended the black cat tavern and we decided to give it a shot because it was a close drive to the hotel. This lovely Tavern is on ocean Street which is all paid parking but the view and the walk by the harbour is beautiful. We sat out on the patio and had a perfect harbour view from... More

I had nwver been to the Black Cat to eat. 7 of us sat on their covered porch which overlooked Beautiful Hyannis Harbor. We steamers were so delicious and sweet. Then I shared their huge lobster roll. Wish I was at the Cape longer so I could have returned to Black Cat for more of the yummy food!!

Very cool decor mixed with good service and good food. The steamers are a must have! My daughter had the lobster roll which was truly a 1/2lb. of lobster meat! Delish!

The kitchen puts our great food and the wait staff is very friendly and attentive. After that the experience I had on a Tuesday evening went down hill. The problem with the room is two fold. First is there is no noise reduction materials used in the construction of the room so as people speak that tend to raise their... More

A group of us headed to the Black Cat Tavern after taking the ferry back from Cape Cod. We sat at the bar and had a couple of drinks and some appetizers. The service was friendly and we had a great time joking around with them. They make a really great dark and stormy. We would go back again and... More

We dined here on a Saturday evening. Although they were very busy, we were a party of two and were seated immediately. The party of 10 ahead of us was told it would be a 3 hour wait to seat them. The filet mignon and grilled cajun shrimp were excellent. The Filet was one of the best steaks I've had.... More

We made a reservation, and when we arrived found our table had been given to someone else (although the staff denied this). We waited about 20 minutes to be seated. Our server did a nice job, and the food was very good, but a bit pricey. We were on the outside front patio, and there was a patio heater about... More

Last year our son-in-law and grandson went to Black Cat for lobster rolls. They came back to the cottage raving about how good the lobster rolls were. Didn't have a chance to go ourselves until tonight and we were not disappointed. My husband, daughter, grandson and I ordered the lobster roll and all agreed it was the best we've ever... More
