Only had about 20-30 minutes before ferry to Nantucket so grabbed a few things for lunch. Great chowder which sign declared was awarded best in Chowder fest - deservedly. V good service. Smoothie was yummy but took way too long...

Great place for cocktails, excellent Bloody Mary! Pricey apps, but it is after all the Cape. No water view but the back bar is really comfy and very inviting, staff attentive and great.

Lovely restaurant and food was very good but we got the impression that they were trying to turn the tables over as fast as possible. We were presented with a bill after our plates were cleared and never asked if we wanted anything else. A bit of a shame since this let down what was quite a nice meal.

We came here for dinner to try the award winning clam chowder. The chowder was very good, but not the best we've ever had. The service was friendly and efficient. There were many options on the menu in case you don't like seafood.

One of the best meals I had during a stay in New England that included Boston, Bar Harbor, Portland, New Hampshire and Cape Cod. An extensive menu, good beers and reasonable cost. We did have to wait about 15 minutes for a table but this was fine. There was live piano music and we really enjoyed our visit. I love... More

I haven't been at the Black Car for 4 years but it's as good as ever. Service, food and facilities are all excellent . I would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant if you are in the mid Cape

My husband and I ate here 12 years ago pre-child. It was just as great then and it was on this last trip. Our waiter said there are different owners, but the place is the same. While we waited for a table we were given a buzzer and enjoyed drinks on the patio with beautiful palm trees near its sister... More

We had dinner here in the early evening soon after arriving in Hyannis. There wasn't anything particularly wrong with the place, but nothing that stood out either. The service was quick although a little perfunctory for my liking. The food was very nice too although in my opinion rather over priced. The location is great - but if your inside... More

Ordered encrusted oven salmon, cooked through. Came out very wet, pale and nearly raw inside. GROSS!! Obviously it never hit the oven. Skip seafood here unless you want to get sick or love sushi. I lost my appetite.

If tripadvisor gave zero, then this place would get it. We tried to dine here, early in the evening 5.30pm. The restaurant was not busy. We asked to sit outside and were given a table at the furtherest end of verandah, in a corner, next to the alleyway. We advised the waitress, that we would be in and out quickly... More
