Lousy margaritas for a Tex-Mex place

Had a nice lunch last week. Food was good, atmosphere always nice, service okay. The margaritas really were lousy though. It's gotta be 99% sour mix because that's all you can taste. I love Mexican, but I expect a good margarita when I eat Mexican!

I've been going to Sam Diego's since I was a kid. It is a classic Hyannis restaurant with a fun and colorful atmosphere. It is huge with lots of tables so the wait times aren't bad even on weekend nights. Been dozens of times over the years and never had a "bad" meal...some mediocre ones, but nothing awful. The past... If you like Mexican and you like buffets this place is the perfect combination. The buffet is only open during the week. Make your own tacos, chili and chips and salsa too. Family friendly. Clean

Last night (Friday, feb 6th) my wife and I visited sam Diego's in hyannis. We sat at the back bar and had a great time. We were greeted with smiles and received our two watermelon margaritas incredibly fast, despite how busy the bartenders seemed to be. For dinner we had a pork burrito, and a large order of the chicken... More

I've been to Sam Diego's many times, but this most resent visit we just had burgers. They were excellent. I would recommend getting a mexican meal. They are flavorful and not too spicy hot. The atmosphere is a colorful location with knowledgable servers. Sam's has been in business for many decades, so they are obviously doing things right.

This spacious restaurant is a great spot for family or friend groups. The restaurant is large but is divided up into many spaces, so you rarely have to wait to be seated, but it never has that large cafeteria feel. Plan on spending some time to read the enormous menu; many options! Mostly fun Tex-Mex type offerings, but tastey! The... More

Fun festive decor, good Tex-Mex type of food, and decent drinks. It's always good with the fun atmosphere.

It's been awhile, but I took my family to Sam Diego's and like always we had a great meal. The waitress was friendly and prompt. The food was hot and tasty. It was warm and cozy inside. I have been there before in the past, like this most recent time it was really good food. I will be returning there... More

Without a doubt, Sam Diego's in Hyannis and it's sister restaurant in Plymouth are the best Mexican dining experience you can have in South Eastern New England. Located on Route 132 just off of the Mid-Cape Highway, Sam Diego's has been around for a long time and offers outstanding food, ambiance, service and value for your money. We both had... More
