Just ok this year

We vacation as a family every year to Dennis, Cape Cod. Every year we look forward to eating at Sam Diego's. This was our fourth year eating here and I have to say we were dissatisfied with our meals. Three adults and 1 child, we each ordered a different plate and all of us were disappointed. Even... read more

starting off on a positive note, the atmosphere was nice. It's an old fire station and had a lot of character. The food was lousy. Not authentic. We ordered queso and it didn't look or taste like anything we had ever had. It looked more like melted cheese. The chips were fine. The salsa was tasteless. Two of us ordered... More

I used to go here weekly. Now only a few times a year. The quality of the food is meteocore. Everything on the plate tastes the same. The portions are noticably smaller than they used to be. The reknowned service is horrible, as usual. The hostess when not socializing at the bar, will seat you at one of the many... More

Don't get me wrong, I have a fondness for chain restaurants! But when you're on vacation, it's best to skip the chain-like atmosphere. The food was ok, the drinks were ok, bland salsa, generic chips, Pepsi products (ugh), etc., but there's no great ambiance and the menu is pretty typical for American Tex-Mex. I was on my way to the... More

On another trip to Hyannis, there was no discussion as to where to eat. Nothing ends a trip there on a higher note then dinner at Sam Diego's. It has been a tradition for years. If it's not broken don't fix it. The usual fare is the nachos to start, I get the chicken fajitas, Bobby gets tacos and we... More

Stopped by to have some food and drinks and to watch the Red Sox game on TV. Bartender (Charlie) was very accommodating and the Dos Equis beer was served in a chilled glass - very tasty. My wife had a margarita and she said it was great. I loved the salsa they serve with the chips - very smooth with... More

I wish I could give less than one circle to rate how bad this place is. How can you screw up tacos? Well these people did, chicken was under seasoned and watery, cheese was sparse and stiff. Ordered their guacamole and it was brown, tasteless and a served with the saltiest cheap chips available. My fiancé ordered a burger and... More

Sunday night average volume, my family of four was seated right away in a nice atmosphere but the place seemed a little aged and dirty. I ordered a very large veggie burrito the beans were average the sides and portions were amazing however. My family agreed the food was tasty but just under par along with our server. We will... Went on a Sunday and got a table on the patio. Sunday combo specials are huge! None of us finished our meals.
