Good for the price, with a varied menu

A good place for good mexican. We had a wonderful, enthusiastic server who was very attentive. We got the enchiladas and the taco bar. The bar had delicious chili and corn chowder soups, and the beef for the tacos was yummy. You have to order guacamole separately from the taco bar. We didn't love... read more

This Mexican restaurant has been consistently delicious, fun and reasonable for the past 20+ years! Updated to stay fresh this place is great for happy hour, families and even seniors. Lunch taco bar is unbeatable deal. Outside seating in spring summer is nice.

Very excellent food. I had the buffett and was a little disappointed in the quality but the entree that my partner ordered was terrific. The drinks were terrific (sand in your shorts) recomended

We went to Sam Diegos for lunch today. The 2 adults ordered a combo meal with baby back ribs, an enchilada, and a taco. The taco beef was horrible, the chicken in the enchilada was dry and tasteless, I asked for extra souce to put on it, and the waitor brought out what tasted like watered down tomato soup. My... Visiting family here on the Cape. Ok...so we are from California and perhaps the fare is a bit different than many restaurants used to, but I still thought it was good. For people used to the fiery choices available in California, the dishes here may seem to be a bit on the "tame" side, but it it certainly seemed spicy... More

This place use to be a favorite of mine, but it seems its just assembled there and everything tastes the same, I take my Mom for the ribs which are good, but the burritos are bland and the chimicanga was soggy.. margaritas good, overall I would rather go to an authentic mexican restaurant than an assembly line

Had a nice lunch last week. Food was good, atmosphere always nice, service okay. The margaritas really were lousy though. It's gotta be 99% sour mix because that's all you can taste. I love Mexican, but I expect a good margarita when I eat Mexican!

I've been going to Sam Diego's since I was a kid. It is a classic Hyannis restaurant with a fun and colorful atmosphere. It is huge with lots of tables so the wait times aren't bad even on weekend nights. Been dozens of times over the years and never had a "bad" meal...some mediocre ones, but nothing awful. The past... If you like Mexican and you like buffets this place is the perfect combination. The buffet is only open during the week. Make your own tacos, chili and chips and salsa too. Family friendly. Clean
