I've enjoyed a plethora of hot dogs in my time. From Pink's in L A to the Varsity in Atlanta. Nick's Nest remains at the top of the list. To be honest, hot dog preference comes down to which style you prefer. The location, nothing fancy, just a small space that's been in business for more than 50 years has... More

Just before we moved for Massachusetts and ad was presented as places to visit and the history of Holyoke. Found it to be very small and limited seating, somewhat clean. Main feature Hot Dogs fries with a large selection of add-ons to the dog. The Hot Dog was run of the mill on a standard bun. Ordered toppings which everything... More

I heard a lot about Nick's Nest, some good, some not so good, so I visited it to find out for myself. They specialize in hot dogs. The hot dogs were bland, seemingly aimed at an audience of kids. The rolls were steamed, something I do not like at all. It was clean and welcoming. On balance, I will not... More

It must be the quirky decor and funny old charm, because it can't be the food that makes this a perennial favorite. The hot dogs are tasteless, the baked beans must come from a can (and not a good can either) and even the freshly-popped popcorn tastes stale. Here's to Nick's Nest for surviving all these decades - but you... More

My favorite hot dog, a little pricey but I would pay 5 bucks a hot dog if I had to. Homemade beans are good, pop corn is good, but the hot dogs are the star of the show. They also have soft serve ice cream good kids place to eat.

Recently tried Nick's Nest. The hotdogs were a little bland although the flavor was ok. The rolls weren't grilled or toasted which would've helped with the dog. The baked beans, advertised as "must try home baked beans" were incredibly salty, almost inedible. The clam chowder was good but not great. I will not likely return.

This has been a favorite since I was little and we still look forward to going here. The hot dogs are amazing, still made the same as they were way back when! Never disappointed here!

Haven't been In a year but the dogs are still tasty tho its that steamed bun that makes it special. Mac salad is quite boring but the sign outside doesn't read "Nicks macaroni salad". Worth a visit if you love steamed dogs in a cool building. Great service. Fast and friendly.

Nick's Nest is a Western Massachusetts institution! They have been in continuous operation for as long as I can remember and I'm over 70 years old. Their hotdog recipe is a trade secret and so great that it has brought customers back for generations. The menu is basic and consists of dogs, beans, buttered popcorn and soft drinks. You won't...
