Georges is located on the corner of Rt 28 and Kildee Rd in Harwichport before you enter the main "downtown". It used to be just a fish market, albeit one of the best around with an excellent and constantly fresh selection of seafood...it is not unusual to watch the swordfish being sliced as you order. We have never been disappointed... more

One of the finest purveyors of fresh shellfish and fish on the Cape. Thoroughly recommend the freshly steamed and cracked lobster. Place order early to avoid disappointment. more

I had arrived in Harwich for the weekend all set with my shellfish and didn't need to purchase any food. However, I made the mistake of not bringing a clam shucker. August 4, 2005 and we were on our way from our hotel in Dennis Port (the Pelham House, nice place) to the Cape Cod Baseball League game in Chatham (Chatham A's v. Cotuit Kettlers). Looking for a quick bite, we stumbled on George's Place on the corner of Rt. 28 and Kildee Road. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable.... more
