The Port restaurant is at a price point that creates high expectations. We dined on a weeknight, in season and the restaurant was half filled. The black chairs and ceiling tiles are offset by earth tones and recessed lighting throughout, creating a warm atmosphere. We enjoyed our wine and the soft bread loaf that began our meal. A calamari appetizer... More

My most recent dinner was not up to par. Lobster Gilanio had over cooked seafood and smelled fishy like old fish. The bread/roll served before the meal was under cooked. I had to walk past a sea of smoke on the back walk way to get in side. This ice cream was very good but server brought check before i... More

At the port the food is terrible and way over priced, a plate of pasta with red sauce... $17.00 that is outrageous! I could buy 20 boxes of pasta worth $17. The only reason to go here is the atmosphere it is very cool and "beachy" finally unless you are getting a drink at the bar don't go here!!!

There were 3 of us for dinner tonight at The Port. When I made the reservation it was for their "dining room". We were seated in the bar area. It is very loud in here. You have to shout to the person sitting across from you. That makes for a long evening. I found the service to be slow. We... More

I look forward to two things every summer. The first, is spending time on Cape Cod with my family and friends. The second, is having dinner at The Port. The food is always so tasteful, and they have never served me a hot meal that wasn't steaming when it was set down at my table. It's an original restaurant with... More

A florist in Provincetown recommended The Port to us as his favorite restaurant in Harwich Port. We decided to give it a try for dinner on a Tuesday evening. Since high season hadn't started yet, the restaurant was virtually empty. We were seated at a table by the window and promptly greeted by our waitress. While she was very pleasant,... More

We were staying in Harwich Port and went here on my grandson's (17 yrs. old) suggestion. He had never tried oysters on the half shell so we thought this would be a good first experience since they had a special on them. The service was excellent and the oyster were off the charts for freshness. I ordered the Grapefruit Salad... More

We love The Port and visit often throughout the summer.....food is always good and service is enthusiastic.....This is upscale for Cape Cod and we really enjoy it...The bar is lovely and $1 oysters are always fresh...we wish their menu was larger, but we keep coming back. Be assured that you will have a nice dining experience with fresh food prepared... More

Stopped here with a friend for drinks. Nice bar set-up with good service. Ordered the grilled pizza special which turned out to be "breakfast" pizza. Very tasty! Nice atmosphere and friendly people,

This restaurant is one of the best all around restaurants on the cape. The wait staff was attentive and eager to answer every question. The waitress was rather new, but strived to achieve by asking the chef exactly how things are prepared. I had veal, and my wife had pistachio encrusted Halibut. Both meals excellent. The ambiance is very nice.... More
