Great Breakfast in Harwich

I have been coming to Bonatt's for a long time, and it is still a great place for a Cape Cod breakfast. My mom took me here the first time, way back in the early 90's, and every time I come to the Cape, my husband and I have to stop here. This morning I had a delicious Western sandwich,... read more

We had Meltaways (take out) one day and they were awesome. Another day we ate breakfast at the restaurant in the back and it was delicious. My husband had a veggie omelet and I had French Toast with sweetened Ricotta cheese and topped with blueberries and strawberries. Both were delicious

Bonatt's is closed right now but will reopen shortly taking a well-deserved break during the slow winter season. We miss them.

... Bonatt's may predate Harwich ... it takes talent to do that and Alice Bonatt has it! ... it took a short phone conversation to explain what kind of birthday cake I wanted for a friend ... it was perfect! ... They do something called Meltaways ... I can only say they are delicious and close to spiritual ... Bonatt's... More

We think that Bonatt’s serves the best breakfast in Harwich. We confess that we have only eaten there in the off-season so we don’t know what it’s like when things really get busy. But in the fall it’s an oasis of sorts. Brightly decorated with seaside/beach artifacts on the walls, Bonatt's consistently comes through with excellent breakfasts and service. Over... More

We have been once before and had a good experience, so we drove quite a long way last Sunday expecting to enjoy our special breakfast. It was well below average. First they did not have any 'meltaways' - their signature creation. We had told our three guests how good they were, they were on the menu, so we selected a... More

We visited Bonatt's thinking we'd order a late breakfast but ended up getting the special of the day - roasted pork, mashed potatoes/gravy, carrots, applesauce, salad, rolls and dessert (a homemade cookie of our choice). It was lunchtime after all, so why not order lunch - and it sounded good. $10.00 We enjoyed the entire meal - the roast pork... More

The service was ok and the food was fine, it was clean and easy to park, but the place doesn't leave much of an impression. Its a local spot and that's nice, but didn't give us a feeling one way or the other.

We stopped in for some lunch on a rainy day and enjoyed the friendly, clean environment. The sandwiches we ordered were well portioned and tasty. We only wish we had discovered this place earlier in our visit to the Cape.

A friend of mine and I wanted to try a "new" place for breakfast one Sunday. We cruised around for awhile, reviews in hand, and found ourselves in Harwich and Bonatt's. We were looking for breakfast…..some eggs, toast, the usual. We heard about these breakfast rolls that were the specialty of the house, the "melt-away". We ordered one to try and... More
