Gibbet Hill is unusual in many ways- unless you knew it existed you would not find your way there if you are coming in from metropolitan Boston as a visitor. Yet, it is very much worth the trip because Boston has nothing comparable to offer. During my first visit, everything was excellent, the friendly service, the food, the setting (upstairs... More

Very very nicely appointed restaurant. Food was all very good. Steaks were cooked perfectly as was the fish and chicken. All the sides were simple (mashed potato, candied carrots) but very nicely cooked. Very nice tempo for dinner. I guess I wouldn't go if I was in a rush--our dinner took 2 hours but since we were visiting for the... More

I went with my family for a holiday get-together. Restaurant is very nicely decorated. Beautiful decor with a (mostly) open kitchen. We had steaks, meatloaf and fish. Everything was cooked just right. The potatoes were particularly good. Onion rings were great. They seem to "stack" all the presentations so if you have a fussy eater they may want to have... More

We had a family dinner here on Sunday night, and were given a warm and friendly welcome. The venue is beautiful, and we were seated upstairs, close to the fire, but I have to say that I still felt pretty cold. Service was warm and friendly, and they were only too happy to accommodate some special requests when ordering. I... More

Gibbet Hill Grille is a upscale resturant located in Groton, MA. Specializing in steaks, the Grille has an amazing menu, using ingredients from local sources. The service is fantastic and the food is even better. Built on the frame of an old barn, the atmosphere captures the essence of old time colonial America. Although pricy, this resturant will be sure... More

My husband and I have gone to Gibbett Hill twice. Upon arriving, the place was beautiful inside and offered a very doze atmosphere. We waited longer than one with a reservation would expect, however no one seemed very concerned about it. Once we were seated, it took quite a while to actually get service- a good 15 minutes before we... More

The converted barn with soaring wood beam ceilings and huge stone fireplace was a wonderful backdrop for a great meal. The sirloin steak was exceptional and the farm sides were delicious (I had mashed potatoes, squash, and cornbread). Prices were lower than expected. Would love to visit during the day to enjoy the view of the rolling fields/farm country.

Great 24oz porterhouse at a very reasonable price. The farm sides are wonderful. I had the wild mushrooms sautee and the creamed winter greens. All-around, a delicious meal. Sorry - I don't photograph my food in restaurants....

This was my first time at Gibbet Hill and I will definitely be back. Meals were excellent and reasonably priced. The house made potato chips were a nice surprise.

I came there for a good steak, and I was surprised for the good for both taste and price. I've ordered the 12oz New York Sirloin that was cooked perfectly. It was smaller then what I would expect. If was a bit salty on the outside and just perfect on the inside. They definitely know how to cook a good... More
