I orderd the Shepher's pie. It's not a typical recepe, i thought it was much better! The meat is really tasty and it's mixed with lamb. Great option if you don't want a whole steak for your own. The waitress was really nice! She was under training, but she did a great job!

I have been to this restaurant numerous times and am never unhappy with the food or the service. I always find the staff very attentive, the food selection is great and the wine list not bad. I think the atmosphere is very comfortable, any time of the year. We ate in one of the silos one time and that was... More

We ran through town over the winter of 2014 and ate at Gibbet Hill. I've eaten at this place about 4 or 5 times previously and have always had a pleasant time. The staff seem attentive and caring. The food is good. The steaks are not bad, but nothing that you'd write home about. I ordered the scallops as an... More

Been there several times. The staff are always friendly and attentive. I have found the food in all honesty to be mediocre at best. To be a noted as a steakhouse each time I have ordered it has come dry and cool. The vegetables I have had are good with a favorite being the maple carrots. I want to like... More

This is a high volume, fast turn-over restaurant. We ordered a bottle of wine with dinner. The salads came out very quickly and the wine arrived about halfway through the salad course. Then the entrees were there very quickly. We ended up bringing about a third of the bottle home. We both had steaks. The NY Strip was a better... More

Gibbet Hill is unusual in many ways- unless you knew it existed you would not find your way there if you are coming in from metropolitan Boston as a visitor. Yet, it is very much worth the trip because Boston has nothing comparable to offer. During my first visit, everything was excellent, the friendly service, the food, the setting (upstairs... More

Very very nicely appointed restaurant. Food was all very good. Steaks were cooked perfectly as was the fish and chicken. All the sides were simple (mashed potato, candied carrots) but very nicely cooked. Very nice tempo for dinner. I guess I wouldn't go if I was in a rush--our dinner took 2 hours but since we were visiting for the... More

I went with my family for a holiday get-together. Restaurant is very nicely decorated. Beautiful decor with a (mostly) open kitchen. We had steaks, meatloaf and fish. Everything was cooked just right. The potatoes were particularly good. Onion rings were great. They seem to "stack" all the presentations so if you have a fussy eater they may want to have... More

We had a family dinner here on Sunday night, and were given a warm and friendly welcome. The venue is beautiful, and we were seated upstairs, close to the fire, but I have to say that I still felt pretty cold. Service was warm and friendly, and they were only too happy to accommodate some special requests when ordering. I... More

Gibbet Hill Grille is a upscale resturant located in Groton, MA. Specializing in steaks, the Grille has an amazing menu, using ingredients from local sources. The service is fantastic and the food is even better. Built on the frame of an old barn, the atmosphere captures the essence of old time colonial America. Although pricy, this resturant will be sure... More
