The food is interesting, creative, and locally sourced. What a treat. We were hungry and checked Tripadvisor's star ratings but hadn't read the reviews in detail. We were expecting good food and it far exceeded our expectations. A fresh and open environment with large, colorful, fun, figurative paintings that we all enjoyed. The food, as well as the atmosphere, were... More

On the way to the restaurant we passed a car with a bumper sticker that read, 'Eat More Kale'. I told myself, 'yes, I should eat more kale - it's very good for you'. So, when I got to the restaurant I was delighted to see a gorgeous kale salad on the menu. There were also mussels, roasted brussel sprouts,and... More

Travelling from New Hampshire to Connecticut we stopped for the night in Greenfield and the hotel recommended 'Hope and Olive'. It was a Friday night and VERY busy. We had not booked and were advised there would be a wait of 20 minutes for a table. As it was so popular we decided it must be worth the wait. ...... More

We made a reservation for 6 old friends on a busy night in late September, and the restaurant accommodated us for as long as we wanted stay. All of our meals were fabulous, made with fresh, all natural ingredients. They were easily able to accommodate a couple of us who are gluten sensitive. Highly recommend this place.

There was something about this place that I just loved. Actually, I loved everything: the inventive cocktails, yummy and creative food, farm-to-table feel, photos on the walls, dusty mauve leather banquettes, everything. I was there on vacation & Hope and Olive made me want to live in Greenfield, MA.

Sounds like a generic review, but it's the truth. We reviewed it online and knew they would accommodate my husband's gluten free diet. Once we got there, we were greeted by the owner (?) and had a seat to wait. It was very lively and full of energy; people knew each other and it felt almost like we were intruding,... More

Imaginative cuisine and also comfort food very well done. Fresh local ingredients. A real asset to the community. Monthly free soup and game nights bring everyone out even those who can't regularly afford to eat there. It is my favorite place to go for a special treat.

My family and I had dinner here during a short stay in Greenfield. After waiting for about 35-40 minutes, we were seated. The complementary bread dish, served with an olive oil and herb dipping sauce, was quite tasty. I thought we were in for a nice treat. I ordered a mezze plate as an appetizer. While it was okay, it... More

I ordered the scrambled eggs with black beans and goat cheese - it was amazing. It had a chipotle sauce as well. It came with a salad and fresh fruit. My husband and I were traveling through Greenfield, MA and he looked up the restaurants on Tripadvisor. This restaurant had great reviews and lived up to them. The service was... More

One of the handful of places open Sunday night, it was a real treat. I had a peach sangria that wasn't too sweet, and the bread board appetizer with local peaches. The lobster Louie salad was a generous portion of steamed lobster in Russian dressing, with fresh tomatoes and avocado. Took desert to go, come hungry!
