Best fish in Greenfield

I love eating at Pete's Fish Market. Such fresh fish (& a range of possibilities) & so well cooked. My daughter has sometimes opted for a burger (!) & says it's one of the best burgers ever! Not bad for a fish place. I always have fish & it is always excellent. The soups are excellent, as is the... read more

I live next to the ocean and this is the freshest and best fish sandwich that I have had in some time. The price is great and the portions are generous. Worth the trip and I would call this the best restaurant in Greenfield. It is very casual--picnic tables and cafeteria style but great food. they do have beer available... More

I loved the clam strips and onion rings. The eating area isn't the best but if the weather is good, you can eat outside. We went twice and the first time, our food was piping hot and seemed as though it was made just for us. The second time the onion rings and sweet potato fries seemed like they were... More

This is an outstanding place to get a high quality seafood meal at a very good price. We had the combo platter of haddock, whole belly clams, scallops, and fries. It is the most expensive item on the menu but more than enough for 2 people. Add a salad from their cold case..it is fresh and big. The seafood is... More

No frills, order your food, standing up, daily specials, beer on tap and bottle. FRESH seafood, done just right. Fried oysters last Saturday, some of the best I have ever eaten! Large area to eat on picnic tables, both inside and out. Bus your own dishes, a real no frills place, but you cannot beat the seafood. Give it a... More

Pete's Seafood in Greenfield is a no frills seafood shack in the great New England tradition. You order at the counter, claim a spot in the spartan dining room, and fetch your food when called. What matters here is the seafood, and Pete's delivers consistently fresh seafood with traditional sides like french fries and cole slaw. On a recent trip... More

I grew up in Greenfield and left when graduating High School 35 years ago. Greenfield is a quaint town that has maintained about 17,000-18,000 residents. Pete's is a reflection of this simple town. Nothing flashy about the place - very basic. BUT--- the fried clams strips are the best I have ever had - lightly battered and tender! The lobster... More

I am always looking for good seafood restaurants located away from the shore. One of my criteria is whether or not they serve whole-bodied, Ipswich-style clams, in addition to fish, lobster, chowder and other fare. Pete's not only makes the grade, but gets an A. The seafood is fresh - there was an Ipswich Shellfish truck unloading in the back... More
