Have lived in Berkshires for 15 years and must admit that I find the cost of an ice cream cone or soft serve here to be rather high for what you get. The ice cream is good and I respect them for this, but the portions are not worth the price. If you do not care about this because your... More

Small batch ice cream made in many interesting flavors is Soco's main selling point. Their ice cream flavors have included, Elvis, Mission Fig, Mexicali Chocolate, Ginger, Cookie Monster (which is blue), Albino Cookie Monster (which isn't blue), Salted Caramel in addition to more standard flavors. They also make a really good strawberry milk shake. While their ice cream is available... More

We stopped into SOCO Creamery for a scoop while touring around Great Barrington on vacation. The guy behind the counter was so nice and offered us samples of multiple flavors. I had the salted caramel ice cream on a sugar cone (super delicious!) and my boyfriend got the cappuccino french ice cream (also delicious). It was definitely worth the stop!

I visited a few years ago but just found this on Tripadvisor. Super cute place, but a bit more pricey than a typical ice cream joint. I would go back- plenty to pick from! Just a local, touristy thing

Perfect place to remember what "local" food is all about. Small retail store - like in the "good" old days (and everything about this shop is "good" - except when you visit your doctor and then you will have been "bad" for enjoying yourself so much). Support what "local" is all about - and you will leave smiling. Yum, yum... More

Most of our family feels that this is about as good as it gets for Ice Cream. There is a huge variety of flavors, their ice cream is incredibly smooth and creamy-perfect for a warm summer night.

This is a great little stop if you're looking for an ice cream treat. They use all local ingredients in their product and you can really taste the difference. It can be a really, really busy place on a hot summer night, but it is worth the wait. The service is fast, but the checking out is a little cumbersome.... More

It was like $8 for a vanilla milk shake. It wasn't even that big. My husband and children insisted we get ice-cream here and I was not a happy camper. I'm still flabbergasted by the price, but that was one of the best damn milkshakes I've ever had. The place is very strangely decorated with peeling purple paint and old... More

Terrific place for summer ice cream -- local and friendly and delicious. Everyone enjoyed it. Definitely recommended.

With flavors like burnt sugar, goat cheese/fig, espresso/cookie and coconut lemongrass you know you've found a great little shop offering up handmade ice creams. Open late and quick to give samples, we found ourselves returning almost nightly for a sweet treat. True, the prices are high but it is Railroad Street in Great Barrington...what else can you expect?
