Description: We at Route 7 Grill are proud to be providing fresh, local food to our Berkshire neighbors and friends. All of our meats are naturally raised from local farms or small family farms. We hope that our close relationship with these farmers have some positive effect in preserving local farming traditions. Everything we serve, including stocks, soups, dressings & desserts are made here from scratch. Our philosophy is inspired by Berkshire Grown, as well as the farm-to-table movement. The restaurant, nestled in the Housatonic river valley of the Southern Berkshires offers a full service dining room and full bar. We're located on historic Route 7 south of Great Barrington in the shadow of June Mountain We also offer a second dining room concept - including Raw Bar, Charcuterie & Tasting menus. We discovered this place back in the spring. Had been driving by it for months because we thought it was a roadhouse with not much to offer. Were we wrong. We love the food. The menu is small and it changes. Not necessarily the best choice (or budget) for kids. It's all local. Shrimp PoBoy is a staple for my... More

Never again. Rte 7 Grille used to offer decent BBQ meals in a gymnasium-atmosphere dining room. But apparently they have changed their approach w/o ever changing their name. I live in the area and was ignorant of the switch (MAYBE that's on me). But the result is for the worse. There's still the farm-to-table overlay/pontification...but the menu is very narrow,... More

I really enjoyed this place! Always on the lookout to try new places and this one is a winner! Will be back for sure! The salmon was out of this world and for a steak house - huge compliment!

We booked through a major restaurant site, with which we've had excellent success. So, we were surprised that the only option was a table in the bar with bad music and a sports TV screen. We had expected a table in the dining room, but that was not an option. Guess a Saturday night in August is not a good... More

I visited Route 7 Grill last Saturday night with a party of 6. We had reservations for 6 and were seated right away. Our waitress was pleasant and took our order right away. I had the organic salmon and it was delicious! Perfectly flavored and not dry at all. One of the best salmon dinners out I have ever had.... More

Thank you for the review. You seemed upset when you came through the door. I was saddened by the news of your recent surgery - it must be difficult to find food that is soothing in your condition. We strive to give every customer the highest quality farm-to-table food & great service. I wish you the best of luck. More

I love Rt.7 Grill. The food is amazing, specifically the salmon tare tare appetizer. I also love the cheese plate, and the beef carpaccio. The bar is gorgeous, beautiful wood grain and very large and welcoming. I had a negroni six months ago that I am still thinking about. I am super excited to try the new eatery on the... More

This is not your standard, run-of-the-mill review. The owner and chef of Route 7 are AMAZING, and here's why. I'm a student at Bard College at Simon's Rock, a small Liberal Arts college about 5 minutes away from the Route 7 Grill. Due to Route 7's relatively removed location, it doesn't always cross my mind to see if they're open.... More

A first sight, we were not sure but after one of the best meals ever we were won. The menu was very small and pricey and they were out of one of the four items but our steak was spectacular and right up there with the Abe and Louie's and Ruth Chris' of Boston. Our waitress was great, attentive and... More
