Description: We at Route 7 Grill are proud to be providing fresh, local food to our Berkshire neighbors and friends. All of our meats are naturally raised from local farms or small family farms. We hope that our close relationship with these farmers have some positive effect in preserving local farming traditions. Everything we serve, including stocks, soups, dressings & desserts are made here from scratch. Our philosophy is inspired by Berkshire Grown, as well as the farm-to-table movement. The restaurant, nestled in the Housatonic river valley of the Southern Berkshires offers a full service dining room and full bar with an outdoor patio as well as beautiful outdoor facilities for Pig Roasts & Special Parties. We are family friendly with an open dining room & we offer a great kids menu. We're located on historic Route 7 south of Great Barrington in the shadow of June Mountain with a big back yard for play & private parties!

A first sight, we were not sure but after one of the best meals ever we were won. The menu was very small and pricey and they were out of one of the four items but our steak was spectacular and right up there with the Abe and Louie's and Ruth Chris' of Boston. Our waitress was great, attentive and... More

I've visited Route 7 Grill a handful of times over the years since it opened. Each time, I got the sense that the place has just not hit its stride. Maybe its the removed location. And maybe it's the cafeteria-sized dining room. But each time I have been there, something has not beed right: it has been cold, the food... More

We went there for dinner. We thought the food was excellent but very over priced. I ordered the burger; the meat was juicy and fresh with no filler. The fries were also handcut.

On a cold winter evening we made reservations for our party of 7 (somewhat last minute) to dine at the Route 7 Grill. I had heard good things about the restaurant so was excited to try. The decor is simple yet warm and lots of wood! There is a fireplace in the middle of the dining area that was crackling... More

Meat is the main event at Route 7 Grill -- locally sourced, perfectly prepared, succulent and delicious meat. We've always loved the brisket, the baby back ribs, the traditional barbecue standards, but of late the offerings have varied to include lamb and charcuterie not to be sneezed at. We're particularly fond of the changing items on offer as charcuterie boards... More

Route 7 Grill has been the favorite of rib lovers in the region for many years. They were the best. The good news, however, is that the new chef is a master and the menu is excellent and wholesome, with all organic and local ingredients and creative but not cutesy preparation. We still love it and will keep coming back.

Three of us ate and drank a lot and everything was incredible - especially the pate, the merguez, the ribeye, the pie, and the Guinness chocolate cake. Even the decaf coffee was great. Can't recommend it enough!

So wrong on so many levels. Still reeling from the experience in front of my family. Honestly I would have rather worked on Thanksgiving. Our first time at The Route 7 Grill will definitely be our last. I am writing this review at 3AM because I woke up and it's still bothering me.

We have been previous fans of this restaurant, but we will never be back. 5 people came to diner and things have changed. Minimal menus choices WAY over priced, and device was lacking. There was only 2 other tables in the restaurant. We are bummed we lost a good restaurant in the berkshires.

Thank you for the review. I'm sorry you are not finding our changes to fill your needs. We are definitely pushing harder on the local farm-to-table concept. It has been very positive to have fresh food every day & a menu that changes every day. Most of our customers have found this exciting to their notion of dining as well... More
