Description: We at Route 7 Grill are proud to be providing fresh, local food to our Berkshire neighbors and friends. All of our meats are naturally raised from local farms or small family farms. We hope that our close relationship with these farmers have some positive effect in preserving local farming traditions. Everything we serve, including stocks, soups, dressings & desserts are made here from scratch. Our philosophy is inspired by Berkshire Grown, as well as the farm-to-table movement. The restaurant, nestled in the Housatonic river valley of the Southern Berkshires offers a full service dining room and full bar. We're located on historic Route 7 south of Great Barrington in the shadow of June Mountain We also offer a second dining room concept - including Raw Bar, Charcuterie & Tasting menus. I visited Route 7 Grill last Saturday night with a party of 6. We had reservations for 6 and were seated right away. Our waitress was pleasant and took our order right away. I had the organic salmon and it was delicious! Perfectly flavored and not dry at all. One of the best salmon dinners out I have ever had.... More

Thank you for the review. You seemed upset when you came through the door. I was saddened by the news of your recent surgery - it must be difficult to find food that is soothing in your condition. We strive to give every customer the highest quality farm-to-table food & great service. I wish you the best of luck. More

I love Rt.7 Grill. The food is amazing, specifically the salmon tare tare appetizer. I also love the cheese plate, and the beef carpaccio. The bar is gorgeous, beautiful wood grain and very large and welcoming. I had a negroni six months ago that I am still thinking about. I am super excited to try the new eatery on the... More

This is not your standard, run-of-the-mill review. The owner and chef of Route 7 are AMAZING, and here's why. I'm a student at Bard College at Simon's Rock, a small Liberal Arts college about 5 minutes away from the Route 7 Grill. Due to Route 7's relatively removed location, it doesn't always cross my mind to see if they're open.... More

A first sight, we were not sure but after one of the best meals ever we were won. The menu was very small and pricey and they were out of one of the four items but our steak was spectacular and right up there with the Abe and Louie's and Ruth Chris' of Boston. Our waitress was great, attentive and... More

I've visited Route 7 Grill a handful of times over the years since it opened. Each time, I got the sense that the place has just not hit its stride. Maybe its the removed location. And maybe it's the cafeteria-sized dining room. But each time I have been there, something has not beed right: it has been cold, the food... More

We went there for dinner. We thought the food was excellent but very over priced. I ordered the burger; the meat was juicy and fresh with no filler. The fries were also handcut.

On a cold winter evening we made reservations for our party of 7 (somewhat last minute) to dine at the Route 7 Grill. I had heard good things about the restaurant so was excited to try. The decor is simple yet warm and lots of wood! There is a fireplace in the middle of the dining area that was crackling... More

Meat is the main event at Route 7 Grill -- locally sourced, perfectly prepared, succulent and delicious meat. We've always loved the brisket, the baby back ribs, the traditional barbecue standards, but of late the offerings have varied to include lamb and charcuterie not to be sneezed at. We're particularly fond of the changing items on offer as charcuterie boards... More
