Best guacamole!

The staff at this place could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Super sweet people. The guacamole was nicely balanced - avocado, lime, cilantro, and chiles all stood out without masking the avocado. My only complaint is that the tortillas on the enchiladas I ordered tasted a little... read more

Real, Mexican food is hard to come by these days. This place is the real deal! My husband and I love to take a trip just for the jalepeno margaritas and steak burritos. Bar service is excellent, freshly squeezed lime juice, Milagro, and salted rims. What more could you ask for?

We stopped here for lunch on Memorial Day 2015. The food was fresh and tasty. The nachos we had for an appetizer were $8. The had refried beans, fresh tomatos, onions, guacamole, sour cream and nice pieces of cubed steak. The Chili Reliano my wife got was very good. The Enchilada Mexico I got was large stuffed with vegetables, beef... More

The guacamole was nicely balanced - avocado, lime, cilantro, and chiles all stood out without masking the avocado. My only complaint is that the tortillas on the enchiladas I ordered tasted a little greasy. Still, I'd definitely go back.

We finally got to Xicohentcatl! It was much better than we had ever hoped. Everything was delicious. The staff was very attentive and very nice. Our new favorite place. Too bad the tourists take over soon :(

We had a great dinner out on the porch on a fabulous warm evening out on the front porch. I am not a big fan of Mexican food to begin with but I had tacos which were great the chips and salsa also very good Light and fresh. The house red Sangria was ok...not the best but good. I'd go... More

We were traveling. It was Cinco de Mayo and my husband's birthday so We chose a Mexican restaurant. We sat at the bar and waited a long time before the bartender asked if we wanted anything. The Margaritas were good... Not great... And small. My quesadilla turned out to be a half for $8. I can get a full quesadilla... More

A toddler, a vegetarian, and a meat eater walk into a restaurant... And we all had a great meal. The portions are large and the food is delicious, making this one of the best value meals we had in the Great Barrington area. The service was good and friendly. We promptly came back a second time.

Our group of 6 was supposed to have Easter dinner at a Mexican place in Williamstown I had never heard of but it was closed. When I found out we would be having dinner at Xicoh instead, I was psyched! The owner/manager is always super chill and accommodating and our waitress put up with a few fussy drink orders with... Xicohtencatl is a good restaurant. In the warmer weather you can dine outside. The Burritos are great and the Sangria is pretty good too. They have a pretty extensive menu and specials as well. I would recommend it to anyone who likes Mexican food. The service has always been good as well.

After skiing at nearby Butternut, we pulled into Xicohtenatl on a whim. This turned out to be a great decision. Great, authentic, Mexican food. Delicious guacamole, tender carnitas and great fish tacos. To top it off they were super accommodating to our young children. Go, you won't be disappointed.
