Miserly poor portions of mashed rice and refried beans in place of real beans!! False advertisement. Plus I spent thirty dollars in take out and was left hungry. Barely one slice of avocado in corner of last part of the tiny fourteen dollar burrito. I would have been more satisfied with taco bell

Excellent service and up-scale menu. Best margaritas. Don't miss their home-made guacamole. Plan to share, generous portions.

You can not miss the restaurant as you drive through Great Barrington. It is the bright yellow building on the top of small hill as the main street. Beautiful flowers and landscaping. There is a great parking area for their customers to pull into. First impression to walk in. . . .it was very clean, and we greeted with a... More

The last time I was at Xicohtencatl was in the summer. Since then they have modified the menu and have put someone with a defter hand in the kitchen. Although I have consistently enjoyed my meals at this place, I was presently surprised to find the food better than ever. As some reviewers observed, there are some very pricey items... More

Delicious meal on the porch. Very prompt service and great advice about beer and entree selections. My companion had lamb chops and I had pork. We shared and both were great! Fresh salsa and chips while we waited (briefly) for our food was a great way to begin the meal.

We have just returned from a meal in this authentic Mexican restaurant. We were expecting a lot as the staff are almost all Mexican and give the place an authentic feel. The service was great and our server was really attentive and helpful. However after the delicious (if spiced) nachos and salsa the remainder of the meal was disappointing. I... More

The prospect of good Mexican food in the Berkshires was appealing, but alas the best I can say is it's ravager here. I felt prices were high and service was a decidedly indifferent making it for a less than worthwhile experience.

If you have allergies, you should not come here! We ordered the maid to order guacamole and asked for the slanted to be omitted and when we got it, it was clear that was want to go on the top. When we asked them to take it away make it again, they literally scooped out parts of the guacamole and... More

I would consider Xicohtencatl gourmet mexican. The menu was a little higher than a typical establishment but it was worth it. Good service too! Rated it a 4 cuz of the prices.

I've eaten here almost every visit to the Berkshires. We sit outside on the porch, they have an extensive selection of margaritas--the chips and salsa are great. The service is fast. I highly recommend for great Mexican food.
