Martins is breakfast.

Martins is probably the best place for breakfast in the area. Due to it's greatness, it can be very crowded and busy depending when you are there. The service is usually friendly, efficient, and quick. Because it is at the top of railroad street parking may be an issue at times as well.

We made the mistake of going to Martin's for lunch. Where to begin? We had burgers. They were literally so full of grease that each time you tried to take a bite, hot grease squirted out onto your face and hands - UGH! No french fries at lunch, only home fries as they don't "heat up the fryer until dinner... More

At the top of Railroad street and a true breakfast staple for Great Barrington. If you love coffee as a big part of your breakfast, I am usually disappointed here. However, you cannot go wrong for a basic breakfast.

Popular breakfast spot. Service was terrific. Food was OK (hash browns were great!). Price was right.

Martin's seems to be the place to have breakfast on a Sunday morning. Small place but people didn't seem to mind waiting for a table. Servers brought people coffee while they waited. Standard breakfast fare with a couple of twists (absolutely get the home fries!). Servers know the locals and make visitors feel like locals. Nice way to start the... More

Went for lunch - but lunch and breakfast items were served until closing time (3 PM) so both my wife and I ordered the strawberry pancakes. They were the best ever! Sweet and very light. Ordered real maple syrup with them and the extra charge was just $2 (plenty of places charge 2 to 3 times that much). Our waiter... More

Breakfast served all day. Says it all, it seems. Plus the usual lunch stuff. Still, this place opens early, the portions are hearty, and there is a bit more innovation than one usually finds in diners, such as Brie in your omelet. Yum. They even have grits. Full of working guys who like to pour ketchup over everything, and people... More

We found this little gem by accident. We wanted lunch and it was perfect! We had simple sandwiches and and a glass of wine and it was great. Good value too.

We ate brunch here Saturday around noon and immediately realized how popular this place is! The only available two-top was smack in the center of the room and I ended up getting battered and bruised by everyone that passed by. The kitchen seemed backed up with so many folks descending at once (there was a 5- or 6-top next to... More
