Best for the coffee and tea, the food is overpriced. Some OK outside seating, and a large, tidy unisex toilet complement the place. The staff does not seem like it wants to be there, preferring to dream better careers.

You can't beat the quaint atmosphere of Rubi's. They have a great breakfast sandwich and variety of teas and coffees. It's a great place to meet a friend for breakfast. Simple menu.

I had a delicious grilled cheese for $6! Great coffee and espresso. Many locals. Free WiFi. Somebody there must like 50's music which played in the background. Excellent Value. It's tucked away behind the main street.

Great coffee, fun space, wonderful treats and sandwiches. Great spot to go to before or after a movie, just across the parking lot.

Chose this for lunch - ordered coffee and two sandwiches. Ordering took a little while as the person dealing with this didn't know answer to our questions and had to keep checking with colleagues. Partner picked up coffee (which he reported to be very good) and we waited for our sandwiches. After a while it transpired that our order had... More

Lunch the other day. Had the wild mushroom soup with bread (7.50) Excellent taste. Wife had grilled cheese which cost $9.00. Menu on wall hard to read. Dark inside. Coffee smells throughout place. The $9.00 sandwich had less cheese than a page from a newspaper. Really? Ate outside with the bees and many tourists. Slow service. Staff somewhat confused as to... The good: best coffee in GB. Best simple but excellent food. Great space, indoors and out. The bad, unless you like that sort of thing: the staff is hired for attitude. They save their pleasantries, alacrity and humanity for their hipster friend in line behind you. You might warrant a grunt and a sneer. It takes 10 minutes to get... More

We went to Rubi's specifically to get a dozen raw oysters for my husband -- It was an extremely busy night in Great Barrington but I think they should have been prepared. We ordered the oysters (at $32/dozen btw) and waited for 40 minutes until we were told they only had 3 oysters left and we could get our money... More

We love Great Barrington and always stop here for an espresso and a little pound cake or muffin. The frankfurters are very good too!
