I go here every so often when I am in Great Barrington and I want Indian food. My husband and I went here just a few days ago and it is usually very quiet and not many people are dining there for lunch. The ambiance has a lot to be desired (very dated and dark), but we go for the... More

We had a great dinner here. I ordered the veggie thali and my husband got the mixed grill plate. Overall the seasoning was very nice and they adjusted the spice level to our requests. Unlike many Indian places we've been too, the food did not have excess oil. Would definitely come back.

this place is honest indian food with out the noisy sitar in the back round, have eaten there often, everything you order is always great. Something must have happened this day as the service was not up to par, the waiter was slow, the food came fast(always a good thing) but the lady cleared our table didn.t even ask if... More

Really tasty food, we had a variety of mild, spicy and hot dishes, all excellent and enjoyable. Very attentive service and all six of us left wanting to come back at another time. Nicely located just away from the center of the town, plenty of easy parking. Highly recommended

This has very good Indian food with a broad menu of items from different regions of India. We were a bit rushed and didn't order that much so our selections were limited. The "goat" dishes were new and the one we ordered was good, but look out for the bones, and medium spicy was perfect (with Jalapeno) $15. The spinach... More

We really enjoyed Aroma. The food was very good and service was friendly and efficient. Didn't think we would find such good Indian food in Great barring ton and we will return.

Aroma's needs a little TLC in the front outside. But inside it is decorated nicely in two separate rooms. I have been here a few times but most recently went for the sunday buffet, which is a good deal. A large assortment of appetizers including chicken wings, samosas and pakorahs. There is also Chicken Tikki and a Lamb dish as... More

I try to visit this restaurant whenever I am in gt barrington. This time it was for lunch. I had lentil soup and chapati, my companion had some yummy battered swordfish tidbits deep-fried. Perfect lunch - will definitely be back. It was a very rainy day - the vestibule smelled a little musty.

There are a lot of restaurants in the Berkshires, Litchfield County, and Columbia County, but as far as I can tell this is the only Indian restaurant. (I'd be grateful to know of others, as I love food from the Indian subcontinent). Based on our first meal at Aroma, tonight, it would compare favorably with Indian restaurants elsewhere; the immediate... More

As someone else said, do not let the outside fool you! Food is great! Lots of food, spice levels right on. Our only issue was a bratty, demanding patron sitting next to us. Fortunately her father scolded her into quieting down. She had "serious food allergies" which the staff handled graciously. Would definatly eat here again.
