Fun atmosphere, good food and baked goods, live music most nights. Just a fun, casual place for a good meal

I have made this place one of my favorite, local hangouts. Yes --- the staff dress like gypsies. Also the service is self-serve, as you order at the bar: where they give you your drink and then find you & your table once you're seated. I've had a few friends playing music there, so I'm as likely to drop by... More

Be prepared for that crunchy, hippie experience, complete with Indie music and similar events. If this is what you like, you'll like this Joynt. Munchies are good. Service can be a bit spacey. Be sure to wear a tie-dyed shirt, so you'll fit in. Peace, dude.

Coming here for our grandchildren' s summer camp parents weekend has become a tradition. Located in the center of Great Barrington, the place has a "fun feel". There is a very wide selection of all kinds of food, our favorites are the salads and the kids like the pizza, etc., a\everybody's happy. You order at the counter, waiters bring it... More

Don't miss the Gypsy Joynt if you are in Great Barrington, it's relaxing, quirky and the food is quite good. I enjoyed the Intoxicating Layla salad which I had last year and couldn't wait to get another this year. We had pizza there last year, also delicious. The menu offers a very nice variety for everyone. Wish I could say... More

We stopped here on our last visit to the Berkshire and made it a point to stop by again. A quirky place with fun atmosphere and even better food. A very diverse menu and a nice variety of beers on tap. It's not fancy, but an atmosphere that would make Jerry Garcia a regular and food quality that should entice... More

im seriously amazed this place isn't number 1 in GB, its always my first stop when passing through for the summer. everything thing from the staff to the food is amazing, the only downside for me being an English man is they don't serve chips or Fries as they call them apart from that there is no fault here, can't... They had a ton of great choices. The macaroni and cheese pizza with brisket was incredible. The atmosphere is very laid back and they had some great background music playing (Al Green, Marvin Gaye, etc.). The workers were incredibly friendly too.

Go for the ambiance, come back for the many choices on the menu. Live music on many nights, great selection at the bar too.

This place is right up my alley. So much that I stop on my way to and from further up in the Berks. Fresh and innovative food, lots if vegetarian choices ( I am not but like to forego meat sometimes) Great beer selection too. Semi self service as you have to get your own cutlery, drinks and bus your... More
