Good-weird eclectic vibe. Touch of Texas with all kinds of pizza, burgers, focaccia sandwiches, mixed drink. Semi-self service. Great drinks. Live music including Wednesday open mike.

This eclectic spot in the middle of Great Barrington was recommended by another merchant. It is charming, a bit bizarre and worth the visit...sort of. You must pick up a menu from the bar, order and pay there and wait for your food. The selections sound great and are inventive and intriguing. The house made focaccia lacks rise and is... More

Just a been here for excellent evening - awesome fruity nutty salad (strawberries, pecans etc) pizza and pulled pork sandwich with sweet potatoes. We all four enjoyed our meals and wished we had room for the cookies or buns! Really friendly place with communal seating for smaller groups. Beer was great. Open mic was of variable quality but hey, they... More

Fun, easy going place, with an eclectic menu. You pick up menus, find a seat, then order and pay at the bar. The food is mostly burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, and salads, with a few other choices mixed in. we've been there twice, and enjoyed ourselves. Later in the evenings, there is live music. Whatever you do, don't miss the fantastic... More

When you go to Gypsy Joynt, don't expect linen tablecloths and waiters meeting your every need. Instead, head on over to the bar, grab some menus and find a table. You seat yourself, order at the bar and bus your own table, but the atmosphere is fun, the food is good and the kids enjoyed checking out the quirky decor.... More

Really a bar. Tiny place with enormous menu, innovative choices. Food was fine. Service was slow--order at the counter but expect to take a while to get it (it's all prepared there, which is cool, but we started to wonder if they butchered the cow when you ordered...). Loud music. Dark interior that looks like a college dorm room. Lots... More

We've been eating at this "joint" for years and it's always one of the highlights of our trips to the Berkshires. The casual, bohemian atmosphere fits the laid back, relaxed vibe of the Berkshires. The food is always fresh and incredibly flavorful. The staff are laid back, but always eager to please if asked. Don't leave without sampling at least... More

This was a nice, casual place with very good food. Don't expect any rushing around here...they are, after all, hippies. The food is innovative, fresh and well prepared.
