Very friendly atmosphere, very friendly and helpful waitresses, fantastic angus burger (big!), great chicken wings and soup. Reasonable selection of beer, including some craft beers. Would have been even better with some tv screens shut off and a somewhat more dimmed lights

20 Railroad was not our first choice on the evening we dined there, but the place we had in mind was closed for a private event. 20 Railroad looked typical enough - pleasant quasi-brew pub atmosphere and fairly run of the mill menu, burger, fish, pasta, beef, etc. Now, being mostly from California and Texas, perhaps we had no right... Great atmosphere in downtown Gerat Barrington with a really nice menu with a few surprises and a great selection of beers on tap. You cannot go wrong here, and if you are lucky enough to get a seat by the window, it is a great place to people watch.

Burgers, salads, cold beer are the highlights here. Good French onion soup for staters. BUT you must try the DELISHIEST spring rolls, freshly made by owners relative. Nice friendly service with reasonable prices. Enjoy!

I was meeting people for an after dinner talk at the Mahaiwe. They were eating sandwiches in the car, and I had time to get from my job to get food in Great Barrington. I decided to try 20 Railroad Street, which is right around the block from the Mahaiwe, so convenient. When I walked in I saw they were... More

We've eaten here maybe 10 times. Sometimes we love it and sometimes it's so-so. The ambience is interesting with a eclectic chairs/tables and a lovely antique wooden bar backdrop. Even the bathrooms have ambience (although they are small). You approach the restaurant down a narrow bricked alley that my children love. The seating is crowded. Service is sometimes quick and... This place is hard to miss and it's usually bustling with a crowd. It's a smaller restaurant/pub offering up a nice selection of craft beers and a menu filled with local product. They've pretty much perfected the Salmon Harvest Salad with mixed greens, fruits and blue cheese. And saying the garden burger is a large sandwich is a big understatement...layered... More

This is not your ordinary Burger Joint. This is a quaint and locally recommended Restaurant. When we arrive it was pretty full and the couple beside us had two gigantic salad plates. The portions are generous and ample. The local beer and fantastic wine. I recommend the blue/cheese burgee

They have a great selection of salads that all look good going by to other patrons and ours were no let down. Stayed light I guess sampled 2 styles of their wings Dragon and GP, dragon wings were awesome and the GP were pretty darn good too. Fries with cheese on top rounded it out, everything was great service as... More

Thanks to another review here, we went back to 20 Railroad after many years. I had the most delicious salmon salad!! I switched parmesan cheese for the blue cheese-so so good!!! Hubby had Asian burger. I tasted it and loved it!! It had the flavor of the steamed dumpling sauce... Not sure what it's called. I would get that again!... More
