Nice Surprise

Very good food, good service and agreeable atmosphere. Tapas were very good and main dishes large portions. Prices higher but meal was worth it. Reservations a must as the place was crowded.

A fine choice of shareable first courses and a tempting choice of entrées. An example of their prowess is the kale salad - something I would never consider ordering. I sampled one of the group's salad, and it was excellent - finely sliced kale with an outstanding dressing... One of my measures of an excellent and interesting restaurant is how... More

We've been to Allium twice and absolutely loved the food each time. We ate at the bar both times because the restaurant was so busy. We were lucky to be able to eat at the bar because of the bartender, Walter. Walter makes every drink with style and flair (and he makes a mean Shirley Temple ;). The sweet corn... More

The food and ambiance were great and the waitstaff gave us great yips about local points of interest. We enjoyed our meal thoroughly!

If you're into trendy place and trendy food then Allium is for you. Some in our party are into eating at these sorts of places so they felt right at home at a restaurant that they will look back at its unusual menu and food presentation fondly. For me, I prefer a tasty, filling meal rather than entertainment. I had... More

This is a great find for people looking for innovative, locally sourced cuisine in a delightful and chic small-town setting. It is served nicely by attentive staff in a pleasant, even though a bit noisy, setting. Definitely worth a return visit.

Popular place, crowdy and a little noisy but great contemporary food. Not too expensive but good price/ quality relation. We would certainly come back.

Fabulous waitress who assisted in pacifying an ornery 3 year old. The food was good. Liked the tempura vegetables. The service was on the slow side. The wine list is quite interesting. We tried an expensive red wine from a California property we had been looking to try. It had some effervescence that didn't blow off. Not the restaurant's fault... More

I was in the Berkshires on a family trip and we had a wonderful dinner at Allium. Starting with the Negroni cocktail, it was all uphill from there. We shared a number of the small plates, the real standouts were the roasted mushrooms and the fried onions. The large plates were all excellent, including the risotto that I had. The... More

We had four small plates between two of us, which was perfect. Kale salad was quite good, so were the fish tacos and the quail, but the steamed buns with brisket were orgasmic! The wines were unusual, not expensive by the glass, and excellent.
