Great menu, great meal

Had a lovely dinner with 4 other friends first Saturday in May. Love the popcorn appetizer -- savory and delicious, giving us time to mull over the rest of the menu. We had a combination of salads to start, all very fresh. Main courses ranged from fish tacos to carnitas to Bolognese. All very tasty... read more

Went here in a recommendation of a local. Thrilled they were able to seat us that evening. Beer selection small but excellent. Truffle popcorn appetizer is INSANELY DELICIOUS. All other dishes were equally yummy. You won't be disappointed...

This is our second time there. Good location and service. Try Moroccan vegetable dish and the Cesars salad

I loved this restaurant - each dish we ordered was fresh, local, and beautiful. I ordered the nettle soup and the fluke crudo - so unusual I had to try them! And they were absolutely lovely - delicate and beautifully prepared. The roast mushrooms were also out-of-this world. Highly recommended.

My wife and I visited Allium on a Saturday evening in April - which is mud season in New England. Tourist traffic is light and many establishments close or cut back. Allium was only about half full on our visit. Since we barely got a reservation at our desired 7pm time the empty tables we saw must have been empty... More

This place lives up to its reputation for good meal in Great Barrington. Happy to accommodate a table for two with no reservation on a Saturday, the service was pleasant, and the food was really very good. An eclectic menu of creative farm-to-table dishes with everything done well by folks who obviously take great pride in their craft. Interesting wine... More

we decided to take a ride to Great Barrington, MA. We had a 6 pm reservation and our table was ready. First they had a great cocktail list and wine by the glass list, our server was very knowledgable and answered my questions regarding French vermouth. We started with cocktail snacks, deviled eggs with bacon jam and cheese and truffle... More

When staying in Great Barrington, this is our go-to place for drinks and dinner. Start with the truffle popcorn (it may sound silly, but it delicious), the Bulgogi (a Korean dish) is fabulous as is many of the other menu items. We tend to order more of the tapas type items, since they are a bit more inconsistent with their... More

We have been to Allium several times, and the service and food is always good. Reservations are recommended during busy times. It's on a great little street in Great Barrington, so you can shop a little before/after dinner.

My husband and I have eaten here once, on Saturday October 11, 2014. Several years ago while in the area we ate at nearby John Andrews and wanted to go back... They were booked on this night. So we came here to Allium and visited John Andrews the next night. Comparing the two, I prefer Allium because I liked the... More
