Lovely service, very good (if not inspired) cuisine.

Passports is a sure bet in Gloucester. Fine, reliable cuisine--not highly creative but it never disappoints. The popovers are a wonderful bonus. The tables are nicely spaced, so it isn't noisy and doesn't feel crowded, even when full.

We picked Passports based on prior reviews. Great location on Main Street - one can enjoy the shops all around the restaurant. Our waitress, was just full of energy and personality. We really enjoyed our meal, but she certainly added to the overall experience. Deb had a hot pulled pork sandwich and it was right on the mark. Given that... More

My daughter said the reviews were excellent so I was patient (somewhat) as I circled the area many times before finding street parking. Well, I am glad I did, because we both loved our meals and would return again and again if we lived nearby. She raved about her chicken and I loved my haddock dish. The mixed vegetables and... More

This place was recommended for their large portions. WHERE!!! I ordered a lobster roll that had more mayonaise then lobster. I was told it was the lobster from a pound and a quarter lobster and there really was no more than 3/4 of a pound. Place was almost empty when we got there and the service was awful. Prices were... I was with a group touring in New England and we stopped here for lunch. Great decision. We had a private room with an excellent server. I ordered a crab cake which was done to perfection. Great Service and good atmosphere in a typical New England town.

This restaurant has a widely varied menu and the service, quality, and value are all excellent. We had a goat cheese salad that was big enough for 3 people, and a Mexican seafood stew that could have served 4. The waiter did not hesitate to recommend the Italian lemon cake for dessert and he was right..it was delicious. The whole... More

I have been to Passports many times and I love it. I have tried many of the appetizers and meals for lunch and dinner and all have been terrific! I have brought my friends and everyone always loves the food! Annually, I bring my family for a celebration and the service and food is terrific! Ahi tuna, mussels and mushroom... More

My wife and I had lunch here two days in a row in late May. The service was friendly and efficient. The popovers are a treat for sure. I had salmon for one lunch and swordfish the next. They got the swordfish just right--not dry at all. If you go there for lunch, be sure to visit the Sargent House... More

Every family member was very satisfied with their dinners...and, especially, the popovers! The ambiance could use some help...kind of dark and gloomy; otherwise, would have received 5 stars.

We arrived in Gloucester in the midst of torrential rains, looking for a spot for drinks and casual food ... we found it at Passports on Main St. in Gloucester. Service and food was excellent!
