Delicious and friendly!

We went to Passports for supper based on the recommendation of a lady working at the store Life Is Good, across the street from the restaurant. Great store by the way! We walked across the street to Passports and we were able to get in without a reservation (2 adults 2 kids). Although I would... read more

My husband and I frequent this restaurant. The staff is so friendly, the chef is excellent. Where else can you go to get popovers! The restaurant is small, I recommend reservations on the weekend.

First time back at Passports in about six years. Great food again, excellent value for the price that you are paying. Portions are good, ingredients are fresh, plates are creative and well presented. However, the lead waitress/hostess was exceptionally snide and condescending to me and my party. We did not have a reservation and were chastised for this, despite that... More

Reservations for preferred seating. The food was excellent as well as the presentation. Parking limited as you would expect for this part of town. Service fair not overly friendly, at least our server. None the less an enjoyable experience. I would recommend to friends or family. And I must comment on the popovers. They were excellent.

We were seated and waited on as soon as we walked in. The only meal we tried was the Whole Belly Fried Clam dinner. One of the best I've ever had. The batter was light and crispy and the clams were clean and tender. Yum!! Excellent meal.

There were 5 people in our party, one had a very good entree of seafood casserole which had excellent Lobster and scallops. The veggie with this meal was also good. The other 4 entrees had parts that were good--the salad greens and the popovers were good but the crab cakes were too bready, the lazy lobster required work and was... More

The best popovers and New England Clam Chowder I have ever had! Popovers were given to us as we sat down and they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and piping hot! The chowder was not gelatinous but buttery with soft clams, not chewy.

Popovers are to die for! Prices are so reasonable. Atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. We Love it here!

Went to Passports with a party of 13 to celebrate a very small family wedding that took place at the end of a week's vacation on Cape Ann. The place was very busy on a Saturday night in July, but our waitress handled our group efficiently and with good grace. I ordered Cajun salmon with mango salsa, and I believe... More

Passports is a sure bet in Gloucester. Fine, reliable cuisine--not highly creative but it never disappoints. The popovers are a wonderful bonus. The tables are nicely spaced, so it isn't noisy and doesn't feel crowded, even when full.
