Even off-season Passports was a pleasure to visit. The restaurant is small, but has good food, atmosphere, and service. I had a seafood casserole that was delicious.

While visiting Gloucester for the afternoon we were looking for a place to sit and have a glass of wine. The menu looked so great we ended up staying for dinner. The staff was very friendly and the menu has great diversity. The mushroom torte was out if this world. It has a casual feel and is a great stop... More

Found Passports because of the high recommendations on Tripadvisor, and made reservations for the four of us for 6pm on a Sunday night. We were immediately seated in the middle of a somewhat unoccupied room. As the evening progressed it started to fill up with what were probably regulars. The hot popovers came out immediately, and were delicious with butter.... More

It is a rainy July Wednesday here in Gloucester. Despite the fact that most folks' fancy turns to thoughts of eating on such a day, passports accommodated us quickly and efficiently despite a busy dining room. Banh mi was mouth-watering. And huge. Snaked salmon sandwich sumptuous as well. And I disagree with the guy from Orlando who said they should... More

If you are looking for something other than fried seafood, this is a very good option. Relaxed, artsy, and the food preparations are a little more refined than your typical seafood joint. Great place for an intimate meal with good conversation.

My aunt, daughter and I had lunch here and it was fantastic with very reasonable prices. Once seated, we were each given a warm popover (!) while we looked at the menu. I ordered the Lobster Roll with a salad, both were fabulous. The side salad was anything but mundane - with mixed greens and very fresh vegetables it was... More

We went to Passports without reservations (I recommend you make them) and the hostess took our name and said "Why don't you take about a 10 minute stroll and come back. We can seat you then." There is no standing or sitting room unless you are at a table. We took her suggestion and window shopped a bit. Upon our... More

We dined at Passports last Friday night , June 27th. Thank you Tripadvisor as we would not have sought out this establishment otherwise. Having summered in Gloucester for the past 20 years, for some reason this establishment has never caught our eye. Our server was FANTASTIC and with reservations were seated in the left storefront window which was a special... More
