Gloucester, MA is known for its seafood. And the Causeway Restaurant is the best there is. It's where the locals go and believe me, they know a good thing when they see it. It has a humble atmosphere with basic tables and chairs....nothing fancy. There isn't much of a view, but you're not there for that. You're there for the... More

Huge portions, low prices, decent food, total lack of pretension make this a big destination for Gloucester day-trippers (mostly coming from the immediate area or near Boston). You can get better, more chef-inspired food elsewhere in America's Oldest Seaport, and often for not much more money--but the Causeway has an "it" factor that keeps 'em coming back. Seating is limited,... More

You know you can't go wrong if you select a place that all the locals flock to. The only complaint might be that you are served more than you can eat, though the food is so good, that people try to clean there plate anyway. The ambiance has a local flavor, too, with murals by Jeff Weaver, one of Cape... More

This restaurant is not a good representation of the wonderful food that Gloucester serves. Sure, they give you large portions for cheap money - but there's a reason for it.

Been here for lunch.. Ordered the baked haddock and it was superb.. Very big portion.. Found this restaurant in yelp.com. Price is reasonable. The only downside might be the parking space as it is limited.. So be there early if you want to have a great lunch without the hassle of parking..

So after reading some of the current reviews, we were a little worried about taking my parents here. We went to Gloucester to have fresh seafood, and we were not disappointed! Luckily, we arrived at 4:45 and were seated immediately; however, the kitchen is very efficient and patrons that came after 5:00 had short waits even though the restaurant is... More

Came across this place purely by luck. Had traveled to Boston for tournament and wanted to find a place to eat fresh seafood. Gloucester was the place all the locals said to try. When we arrived we found that a lot of the places were seasonal and thus closed. So searching the internet came across this restaurant. Took a chance... More
