The Causeway Restaurant is a popular place with diners lined up for tables at any given time. I have been there on several occasions and while the food is certainly not bad, I definitely get that quantity over quality vibe. The portions are literally enormous! I am talking "Eat the same meal for the next 3 nights from your doggie-bag"-huge.... More

Great local place! One order can feed 4! No lie!! Fresh seafood galore! I'd rate it a 5 across the board but after a full day the place needs to be swept clean and wiped down. Arrive early, there is always a 1/2 hour wait. No view but great fresh seafood!

Don't be turned off by the strip mall location or even the low key atmosphere on the inside. The seafood here is fresh, well prepared and the portions are generous. I had the Seafood florentine which was a casserole with scallops, shrimp and haddock topped with spinach and crumbs. The number of scallops in it were more than my wife... More

Causeway is a very popular spot and seems to be a favorite of many. For me, however, I found that their very generous potions at a reasonable price did not make up for mediocre food.

If you are looking for great food and plenty of it, this is the place for you. We lucked out by getting a table right away at 4 and promptly ordered. This is an efficient operation, everybody was being served promptly - our food was very hot when it came out. My husband ordered the Pete's platter and it really... More

After a whale watching trip my wife and I stopped to eat before heading to Maine. I had a bowl of claim chowder and my wife had the fish chowder which were delicious. I ordered the fried scallops and my wife ordered the baked haddock which were delicious. Now we have a meal for tomorrow because the portions were tremendous.... More

Great local Sunday lunch. There was a wait because it is small but that makes it gives it more authenticity!

We met some friends at the Causeway for an early Sunday lunch at 11:30 and were able to get a table before it got busy. This was our second visit. A "cup" of the delicious Causeway fish chowder is the size of a "bowl" anywhere else; the "bowl" at the Causeway is really a meal-sized portion. As other reviewers have... More

Wow: the food here was outstanding. Local place across from the water: indoor seating: and gets crowded at times and loud. The food is excellent. Huge amount about 30 fried oysters along with a mountain of fries: everyone was taking doggie bags. The oysters were lightly battered and fried to perfection. My husband got the Peter's Platter that had fried... More
