We have repeatedly heard good things about Duckworth's. I have personally been 5 times. I decided to give it another chance for my husbands Birthday with friends. The seating was very tight and close to a wall that servers had to navigate past often. The service was slow, now I like slow pace but this was painfully slow. Some of... More

Inconspicuously located in an old wood-frame, otherwise residential, building atop the sidewalk on the edge of East Main Street, between Downtown and Rocky Neck (where the Rocky Neck Art Colony is thriving), Duckworth's Bistrot consistently maintains high standards for food, wine list and service. Often reviewers, like me, tend to focus on discoveries while "on the road". We sometimes refrain... More

This is a high end restaurant in the heart of Gloucester, the restaurant is very small but the food and service is outstanding. the meals are well prepared and it feels like you are in a 5 star restaurant without all the fluff. highly recommended for a couples night out or that special occasion

This is an awesome chef (not frilly-fancy, just excellent) who cares about the comfort and the local clientele. Just to be clear: I couldn't afford it if they didn't offer these GREAT half-portions!! Gloucester's a tricky market, w/ a smart clientele but not a broad well-heeled base. Duckworth has managed to make a home here, altho' I have increasingly found... More

Duckworth's is a 5 star dining experience and one of our favorite restaurants in the country. Hard to choose which menu items we like best but we do love the mushroom soup, Blood Orange Margaritas, oysters, Lobster Risotto and the key lime pie. They make the best desserts! Food is always spectacular and super fresh. The staff is very friendly... More

If Ken Duckworth hasn't yet made the Michelin guide, I don't know why. Intimate, friendly, and wonderful menus. A bonus is the half-portions available for many menu items, and the "short" pours of wine for those who want to match their wines with the various courses. Overall, a three-star-plus experience.

I wanted to take my friend out for a special dinner before going to a concert at Shalin Liu. We were both very happy with Duckworth's. We sat at the bar and chatted with the manager and other diners. The food was delicious and the service excellent. Half portions entrees are available which was a huge plus for those of... More

Duckworth's Bistro is simply the finest dining on all of Cape Ann. Better than any of the Yacht Clubs and better than all other restaurants. This is not a place for cheap eats or a place that appeals to "the quantity crowd". However, if you want a fine dining experience with quality food, professional wait staff, great drinks, this id's... More
