On a cold, rainy, windy winter night, my wife and I were greeted like old friends by Colleen, the ever-so-friendly and capable waitress, and spent the next two hours enjoying the perfect dining experience. From substantial Iggy's bread, with a housemade olive oil, vinegar and herb dip, to salads, to polenta, to seafood stew, to the perfect flourless chocolate cake... More

My husband and I have been coming to Duckworth for years and it is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. The dining room is cozy, the service is friendly, and the food is outstanding. The servers are all knowledgeable about gluten allergies and I can have about 85% of the menu without modification. Everything is available in a... More

The parking here is difficult and the dining room is busy, but, the food is very fresh and a work of perfection. What more can I say. It's a great place to dine, but, reservations are a good idea.

This is a little cramped or should I say "cozy" restaurant and off the beaten path. The food is wonderful, especially if you are a meat eater. I tend to go for the fish which was o.k. Their strength is in quality meats. One waiter had a "cocky", smirky attitude and I can't remember his name. I've seen him selling... More

Although somewhat expensive, the outstanding quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail and skill in the preparation made this a most enjoyable and memorable meal for my wife and I. I would not hesitate to return.

We had dinner here with some friends last Saturday night. we arrived about 6:50 for a 7 PM reservation and had to wait a few minutes for the party that was seated to finish up. We shared a wonderful meatball appetizer which consisted of veal and lamb meatballs with mushrooms and cabbage in a stroganoff sauce. Next came some delicious... More

We love dining here. Several times we share three small plates between the two of us. There food is consistently delicious and the chef uses local produce and seafoods as he can. For me the dessert isnt a choice. that banana cake calls me every time. A great spot for a cozy romantic dinner on a chilly winter night

Duckworth's Bistrot is a fantastic restaurant, with a very high zagat rating to prove it. We feel lucky to have it somewhat to ourselves in the winter months as it is hard to get into during Gloucester's busy summer season. The staff is a bonus; knowledgeable, friendly and always happy to accommodate.

The food is uniformly very good but not fancy. Half portions available for almost all entrees which I like. Service always friendly and prompt. Be sure to make reservations because the restaurant only has 6 or 8 tables. It is our favorite in Gloucester.
