Wonderful food in a great location

The food was excellent. Loved that you could order an appetizer or full size entree. Had some shrimp dish that was outstanding, and my husband raved over the broccoli soup and lobster. Server Colleen was so pleasant and helpful on a busy night!

delicious and gracious dinning! Although snug quarters, we had a delightful evening. I had the scallops, my husband and friend had surf & turf - that is a half order of the beef and a fish dish. All was cooked to perfection. We opted to share the s"mores desert which had a nice combination of sweet an salt. We had... More

Being able to have the half portions allowed us to,try a dish as an appetizer which was fabulous. My haddock dish was fresh and delicious. Dessert was homemade and wonderful. Nice atmosphere and great service. Can't wait until the next time.

Okay, so let me get right to it. The people that have given this restaurant rave reviews have obviously never eaten in New York and surroundings. The food at Duckworth's is average at best. My Caesar salad was actually below average, which I didn't think was possible. Too much mayo, too greasy. I had high hopes for the lobster risotto... More

Hidden on the East side of Gloucester Harbor is hidden gem of a restaurant. Duckworth's is small, twenty five seats, charming interior, with a lovely bar. Reservations are a must and you need to plan ahead. The menu is limited, always a good sign. This is an owner, chief operation. The food was truly memorable. Note-able is all the appetizers... More

There is a reason that you need reservations: excellent food, friendly and professional service, and not too many tables. I liked the option of smaller portions. because desserts were delicious and usually I wouldn't have any room left for one. We enjoyed our visit very much an. d would return in a heart beat.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Duckworth's. We were there on a Thursday, so it wasn't too crowded and noisy. I had asked for a window seat, but they were all taken so we sat in the row next to the window seats, which was fine. My husband started with oysters which were fresh and tasty. He... More

Really good summer cooking near the water in Gloucester. Excellent list of wines by the glass, and half-portion courses allow more exploration of a well-chosen menu. Must reserve, particularly during the summer rush. We're fortunate in having eaten at terrific restaurants, and we plan to return here. Kudos for friendly energetic service.
