Went on a Sunday afternoon didn't realize the kitchen closes from 3-4 .not on their website. Many customers came in and were also unaware, most left. Waited the hour (they should have bar snacks) Wanted to signup for their loyalty card, could not because there was not a manager present and no one knew how to do it .....are you kidding....manager... This small restaurant in Magnolia section of Gloucester has attractive decor but the food is good but not outstanding. Music is what will make or break this place. They are beginning to have local musicians who are very good. The only problem is they only have a small space at the end of the bar so you will hear them... More

We had a most enjoyable evening at 525. This is a very comfortable restaurant with friendly and competent staff. We received complementary corn bread at our table while we reviewed the menu. We ordered the cordon blue and the steak tips that were marinated in root beer and soy sauce. Both selections were excellent. The portions are generous. We were... More

Gave it a try after seeing that they have a new chef ,Tom Johnson and new affordable menu. The lunch was very good. Can't wait to go for dinner. They are no longer part of the Serenitee group. Stand alone restaurant. Early bird between 4-5... four entrees for $ 12 Yippi

I went to the 525 with my boyfriend this past weekend and we were so pleased. I dont think people know that this place exists. Before it was the patio but now as the 525 Tavern it is rehabbed and the food is killer. We shared the nachos which were enormous and he had pizza and I had the caprese... More

Despite the negative reviews we went and had a great meal. Service was quick, food was good and overall a good experience. Will go again.

This is a fairly new restaurant in Magnolia Mass. If you haven't gone there yet, please don't. The decor is pleasant and wait staff friendly. The food is at best poor to terrible. I had the marinated steak tips. They tasted like they were soaked in a salt brine before being cooked. The french fries looked and tasted like they... More

We've eaten here three times and never found it disappointing. Then again, it's a small restaurant in a small seaside enclave, not a five-star in Manhattan. The popcorn shrimp appetizer was very good and the portion was generous. However, it might be a good idea to have some seafood cocktail sauce in the fridge in case a customer would prefer... More

We were at first disappointed that reservations are not accepted, but we were given good advice by the person who took the call, and opted to arrive for dinner well before their 'busy time'. We arrived shortly after 5pm, and were promptly seated at a desirable booth within the near-empty restaurant. Water was delivered right away, but we waited for... More
