Great night out

They have excellent food full of flavor and atmosphere is great. They have a great bar area with TVs and they keep the TVs out of the restaurant side so you can enjoy the food and friends for a good time without the game on. Excellent wine and drink selections.

I've always wanted to try it since hearing it advertised on the radio. I've been twice and each time did not disappoint. Friendly staff, awesome food. Had the tower of tapas the first time, Azorean steak tips the second (plus a couple of tapas for appetizers). Two of us split the meal each time and we were plenty full. It's... More

People who arrive in Gloucester automatically head to the waterfront seeking fresh fish and ambiance. It might be easy to by pass the Azorean so close to the railway tracks. Proceed no farther. Azorean is a must stop while in Gloucester. The Portuguese food is authentic, delicious and the portions are generous. it is a bustling, friendly place.

Everything we have ever ordered has been enjoyed. Ask questions and be daring. We are always quite full and happy when we leave. Time and care are obviously an ingredient in each dish.

When my wife and I want a good burger and fries we go to the Azorean as they do a very good job. Other things on the menu are quite good too. They have their own parking which is a feature in downtown Gloucester.

Don't be put off by the land of Oz exterior appearance of the Azorean. The food, at least the seafood which is all I can comment about, is great. My wife and I were attending First Night in Rockport, and wanted a meal first. About a minute off the 128 traffic circle, the Azorean met our needs and then some.... More

My fiancee and I had dinner on New Years Day here with no trouble at all for available seating and no reservation was required. The service was great with waitresses coming around often asking for anything we may want. I ordered the Porto Chicken and my fiance, a grilled Hen. The food didn't take long to come out despite the... More

We had been there a couple of years ago and were looking for a place to eat last night and decided to try it again. I had a steak tips which were cooked as I ordered; meat was tender and tasty. My husband has the Portuguese soup and Portuguese haddock which he enjoyed as well. Service was good as well.... More

Just show up twice. We always promised ourselves we'd come some time soon. After all Azorean is away from the harbor, by the comuter rail even! But today, for the second time on a December Sunday, we showed up just before noon. If we were looking for something scenic, we had only to settle in the bright but warm surroundings... More
