Always good food. The house wine is great. The appetizer tower is very good. An overall wonderful place for an informal meal.

We've been frequenting this restaurant since they opened. We average approx. 12x yearly. We were always very satisfied, however, last night was an exception. In fact, the last time I was there was another exception. A bus boy spilled piping hot sauce all over me and my clothes. The manager didn't even come to check if I was ok. A... More

I have been a big fan for 30 years when it was a small place on the boulevard. The food is excellent, make sure you get some Portuguese dishes, they are all superb. Marinated cubed pork with littlenecks, paella, cataplanas, etc. the Azorean salad with linquica and pineapple, etc. service will seem slow, but each order is cooked to order,... More

Every entree and dinner on the menu is wonderful. You'll feel like your in Portugal, decorated with warm white arches in each dining area. Great bar and food is delicious.

Our food was excellent. The baked Hancock melted in my mouth. Very good. The braised beef was so tender.

We were looking for something different than the Gorton’s Fisherman, not that I have anything against him, while in Gloucester for a bike race. The décor is modern and clean-very tastefully done. The menu is quite extensive. The server (I can’t remember her name, but she is a communications major at Emerson) made fantastic recommendations. She was simply amazing in... More

Azorean is a great restaurant in so many ways. It borders on perfect sometimes, so it would be great if they could just fine tune a few things. Food is generally wonderful, atmosphere is fun and festive, service is a bit spotty. This review is primarily about the bar area where you can also eat dinner. When you sit right... More

We were seated at a tight so-so table but the staff quickly changed our location and everything was top notch afterwards. We started off with the Calamari Salad (grilled squid) ($9.95) which was extremely tasty and just perfect. We decided on the Tower of Tapas ($30) for our dinner. We thought tapas were little sample dishes. These were not. They... More

I liked everything about this restaurant. It was crowded on a Saturday night but they made a special effort to get us in. They have many Portuguese specialty dishes with sausages and seafood. The drinks were not short of alcohol and there was a daily menu of specials. The service was exceptional as the wait staff were very attentive and... More
