An Easter Sunday feast for two presented tastefully by an attentive waitress sporting festive Easter bunny ears! I enjoyed a braised beef entree in a light tomato based broth while my partner feasted on lamb chops cooked to perfection. Crusty bread with a seasoned olive oil dip got us started along with two delightful pink sangria martinis that were highly... More

We were delighted to be able to return to the Azorean in Gloucester, MA. We loved it the last time and it was even better this time. We had the "Tower of Tapas" where they have six tapas. They have so many choices it is hard to narrow it down to six. The best was the octopus with carmalized onions,... More

I frequent the azorean at least once a week. Excellent selection from fresh seafood to steaks, not your run-of-the-mill recipes , very, very, good. Just had one of the best meals there, it was yellow-fin tuna on vegetable risotto, cooked MR with a side of wassabi butter. Some of my favorites are on the tappas menue, also the azorean steak... Great variety, for date night or families. I had the chicken with butternut squash raviolis, my husband had the mushroom steak. Kids ordered off the kids menu. My husband and I had the pitcher of red sangria. Good food, huge portions, fairly reasonable prices. Worth the wait and the price. This IS where the locals go. Love the Azorean!!!

We stayed one night in Gloucester while touring around the North Shore, and chose this restaurant as we went to the Azores a couple of years and had great memories of the wonderful seafood dishes we ate there. The outside of this restaurant is not very prepossessing but inside the atmosphere is lively and we were lucky to get a... More

Great authentic food. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant and bar area, are like stepping into the Azores. They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from, including authentic dishes prepared by the head Chef Manny, never have had a bad meal there. The bar area is also a great spot to dine at. The bar tender Sebastiano... More

Start with the start - some of the best bread and flavour-filled olive oil dipping sauce while you wait for one of the excellent drinks. What to order? There are so many diverse choices, and all I have every tasted are delicious. The Tower of Tapas is a wonderful way to sample many of the dishes. But I can't get... More

My first was with a group dinner from work. Our server was new, but was very attentive. The food was very good. I will return.

This was our first visit to the Azorean and we will now make this a regular stop for our visits to Gloucester. The food was very good with many choices on the menu. We couldn't decide what to order and our waitress was helpful and explained the various dishes and methods of cooking. We both ended up with seafood dishes... More
