We stopped here after a long day at the beach. It was a little busy and loud, but the food was out of this world. My husband ordered Azorean steak tips and hasn't stopped talking about it since. Everyone in our party devoured the bread and dipping oil that was placed at the tables while waiting for our meals. My... More

My husband and I dined here on a recent trip to Gloucester. I had the surf & turf (2 stuffed shrimp, braised beef, potatoes and asparagus). I thought it was very good. You can substitute other meats if braised beef isn't your thing. My husband had the seafood stew which he really enjoyed. Portions are big. Service was good even... More

Great selection of Portuguese favorites all cooked to order and served hot. All entrees were delicious and prepared exactly as ordered. Great value and attentive staff.

3 of us ordered steaks and let me say they really sucked. It was tuff full of fat and the molho (marinade) was just tomatoe based loaded with hot pepper. The rice was dry. Ok enough with the steak plate. My wife ordered a cod plate and this was just bones with little meat to enjoy. Let me tell ya... More

It is good to try something new. The Bacalao though very salty and hard/dry was a good meal that I really enjoyed. The rest of the food was good (Octopus and Calamari). Service was super nice on a Friday night. A good restaurant however if you are a tourist and want to enjoy Gloucester itself head to Rocky Neck.

After returning from Boston on the train in Gloucester the wonderful smell radiating from this restaurant beckoned us in. However that was all that was good about the place. Our waitress was indifferent and when we mentioned the mussel dish was extraordinarily hot she offered to bring my companion water and afterwards when she still was not able to eat... More

This place was recommended by the owners of our rental apartment in Rockport. We went there our first night and were glad we tried it. The food was very good. I had a fish and rice dish -- somewhat like paella. It had a nice amount of spiciness, and plenty of fish. My daughter had salmon with a tangy mustard/cream/mushroom... More

Went there for lunch and order steamed clams and a Portuguese stew my wife and were sicknthat evening. I would not recommand this restaurant to nobody. Lack of quality control. Those two dishes must had old fish broth and old sea food not fresh as they publicize on the radio. Very disappointed.

This is a real gem of a restaurant for Gloucester. Every summer we get the whole extended family out to the Cape and we generally try and cook in, but inevitably we roam outside the kitchen for sustenance. This is our second time at Azorean and it lived up to what we remembered it being. Great building with a really... More
