We were on a tour with set selections for the dinners. This is the one restaurant that when we arrived actually offered an alternative, and boy was it good. We could keep our original selection or pay $10 and have a great Lobster dinner. The owner entertained us the entire time at dinner telling stories of the area and people... More

We had a lobster roll and the pot roast special. Both were very good, views were excellent on their patio. Service was slow when we went to pay, but the views made up for it.

This dinner was exactly what we needed to enhance our stay in Gloucester. We had the pleasure to be served by Abbey!! 5 star waitress. We stared with martin's that were the best we have had in along time and were endless. Abbey answered all our questions and gave us fun wonderful service. The food was amazing and we left... More

You can't get more authentic than a whole lobster at the Gloucester House Restaurant. We were there on a Saturday for lunch but there still was not a long wait. We ate indoors but loved the view out over the fishing docks. Everything we ordered was good. Not fancy, just good. Don't miss the chowder. You'll be glad you stopped... More

Showed up early afternoon on a thursday. Was promptly attended to, got a nice table. Prompt service, very nice fish sandwich, great cornbread amuse-bouche. Would come again.

The food was great- I had a pumpkin ale with a cinnamon and sugar rim (my favorite beer ever!) I had the crab stuffed sole and my husband had lobster carbonara! Both dishes were so unbelievably yummy that we are still thinking about them a week later! I am only giving this 4 out of 5 stars though because our... More

Ate dinner here last night in Gloucester. Had baked Haddock and it was delicious. View was okay but service and food very good. Would recommend.

Had lunch here with a friend while seeing the sights. I had my dog with and was very pleased that they would accommodate us on the deck. It was a beautiful day out so that was perfect. They were veey gracious about setting up a table for us and brought my dog a bowl of water. Thanks! :) I ordered... More

My sister and I ate at this restaurant last week and we both ordered a bowl of clam chowder and a salad. This was the best tasting clam chowder I have ever had and for $6.99 a bowl it was a bargain. They fill the bowl up to it's capacity and included crackers and fresh bread. The chowder has a... More

My husband and I dined with another couple. We chose this from a list or restaurants we found online. Our waiter was not knowledgeable, the food was just mediocre and the prices are very high for what you get. The lobster roll was full of lettuce instead of celery as we were told. It was over $20 and had a... More
