Description: The Gloucester House restaurant is renowned for its local lobster dishes...
The Gloucester House restaurant is renowned for its local lobster dishes and for the freshest North Atlantic seafood, prepared to perfection. Having been among the first to popularize fried calamari, our specialties range from award-winning clam chowder to homemade bread and cornbread, from Dottie's bourbon cake to Lily's wine list, and from Sambuca mussels to blackened haddock tacos to a fried fisherman's reuben sandwich. We always cook to order and have gluten free and vegetarian menus available, as well as children's meals. Dine full-service on our outdoor, dockside deck or eat lobsters in-the-rough on our harbor side wharf. Located on historic Seven Seas Wharf, there's something for everyone here: shop for souvenirs and local art at our General Store gift shop, enjoy a sail on the Schooner Thomas E. Lannon, or see the whales aboard Seven Seas Whale Watch. Whatever your fancy may be, the Linquata family invites you to join us year-round for a true taste of New England.

Love the new menu. Fish tacos and seafood pizza are delicious and reasonably priced. Service is excellent. Will make this a new local hangout.

After searching onine for gluten-free restaurants in Gloucester and Ipswich we went to the Gloucester House. I have been there twice before but not in a few years. The atmosphere is clean and comfortable with tables and booths and views of the harbor. At the end of February the views were of snow covered docks but the working harbor was... More

We stayed in Rockport (5 Miles ) away and ate here both nights of our stay. We were so impressed by our first meal we naturally came back for another great meal. We had a macaroni and cheese seafood dish, which was mostly seafood,a fresh halibut dinner, a lobster roll (beyond stuffed) and a lobster carbonara over pasta.Everything was super... More

We have sat in all areas of this restaurant, each having a different vibe. Outside dining is very enjoyable in the summer. The food is consistently good, along with good service. I will continue to frequent this restaurant!

It feels like classic, upscale New England seaport restaurant. The fish was fresh off the boat and delicious. They have a gluten-free menu, also a vegetarian menu. The service was very friendly. The food prices are very reasonable for place right on the waterfront.

I used to write this place off as a tourist trap. Iceberg lettuce, overpriced, but with a view. In fact, I told a friend who asked if he should eat there when visiting that were I crawling in a desert, and a mirage came up, and it was the Gloucester house, I'd keep crawling until the next mirage. But we... More

On our way back from Rockport, we stopped to shop in Gloucester, and decided to eat before heading back to Salem. Maybe it was a long day, but it took us two tries to find the GH parking lot. The restaurant wasn't crowded and we sat in a booth by the window. We ordered seafood stuffed mushroom appetizer which was... More
