Was there on a Thursday night and requested a patio table. We were sat next to the building by a window with its paint all peeling off - not attractive. The chairs were horribly uncomfortable. Waitress was very kind & friendly, but after taking our drink orders she didn't come back to take food orders. We had to flag her... More

Took a long time before hostess showed up at her station. Then we presented our voucher from online at our inn for a clambake. She had wonder on her face - never served one before and had no idea what was included. We ordered a bottle of wine. She brought clam chowder ( was good). Time passed with no wine.... More

We had this lobster booked by the hotel we were stating in. We hadfound review of this being a happening where stories of lobster coocking and eating get told. Some pictures even suggest a big bowl of lobsters. None of this happened. We arrived with our voucher, we got menus, when we asked if this voucher was for a set... More

This restaurant is still run and owned by the same family since 1957. The seafood was prepared expertly and served with informative and very friendly staff. A definite must if you're visiting the area.

On a very cold day las November we were driving around Cape Ann, Rockport. Wanted to have a nice lunch. But all the restaurants were closed. So we decided to drive on to Gloucester. There also most of the restaurants were closed. We stopped and asked this old man if there is a nice place to eat. Without a second... More

TripAdvisor recommended Roy Moores, well even TA can't be infallible. The guy from Roy Moores couldn't have been more rude the phone so I called the Gloucester House where the lady was warm and patient with my cell having interference. It wasn't until my wife, children and I arrived at The Gloucester House that I realized I came here with... More

Well after a last minute decision to make a pit stop in Gloucester, MA we parked the car and began our 4 hour adventure. It started with a walk in the arts district and an all day pass on the water taxi! Great way to see the sights and learn about the harbor. We got off the Harbor Loop and... More

After a nice schooner cruise the GH was ready for our group and seated us in nice room overlooking the docks. We had lobster dinners and was all very good. The cornbread was awesome. The interesting part was Lenny came in to discuss the history of Cape Ann and environs as we sipped our drinks waiting for supper. He was... More

A great family restaurant! Delicious food, great desserts, and quiet atmosphere! A little expensive but the food tasted so good...
