A hot place!

We were looking for non-seafood in the midst of a seafood filled New England vacation and this fit the bill. Seemed to be a lot of locals eating and we know why. Not the best Mexican food we've had, but all agreed it was very good. We found the salsa to be a bit different, but not in a bad... read more

Food was great for the money, great value. You won't be disappointed at all. Mango Margarita was awesome.

This place is great! Really good quality, clean, friendly service, nice decor, reasonable prices, generous portions. What more could you want? Went with a friend. Split a salad with lime vinaigrette. Wonderful fresh avocado, tomato combo. We both had Cheese Enchiladas smothered in onions. We each got a different sauce. Both so fine. Came with mashed beans and rice. MMMMMMMM!... More

We'd been a couple of times in the past, and decided to go back recently. Wow, how things had changed. The prices were ridiculously high, for small portions of badly cooked/prepared food that didn't taste good. The salsa was almost all tomatoes, with little of anything else, and almost no flavor. The Guac had more tomatoes than any we've ever... More

We got seated right away and they provided chips and salsa which were fine. We got the queso dip appetizer and it was okay. I ordered chicken enchiladas and was very under impressed. There was really no flavor in the meal and I was trying to add salsa - it was still just really bland. My friend got a different... More

So it's not the most authentic Mexican food I've had. They do get 5 stars for service. The apricot glazed wings are amazing, soooo good. However, the rest of our meals were less than desirable. I've been here before about a year ago and the food was incredible so maybe they had a bad night in the kitchen. Who knows,... More

No one goes to New England for fantastic Mexican food and this place is part of the reason why. Though having had some very delicious and authentic Tex Mex as close as Rhode Island and other points in MA, I perhaps had higher expectations than I should have. The staff was friendly enough but the decor was your typical catalog... More

we had the steak fajitas and what they call carnitas. the fajitas were listed on the menu as being sizzling and were anything but. the steak was tough and unseasoned and the carnitas consisted of a scoop of gelatinous meat with an identity crisis. the remainder of the plates were filled with tasteless pureed beans that looked like dog poop,... Returned to Jalapeno's with friends to celebrate a birthday and wedding anniversary. Everyone enjoyed the evening, and I'll ook forward to returning. But one has to choose with some care to get good value. The Margaritas were a disappointment. I will assume they were made with the better liquors as ordered but they were unimpressive. I frequently make Margaritas at... More
