Very Good Food, A Nice Evening

Returned to Jalapeno's with friends to celebrate a birthday and wedding anniversary. Everyone enjoyed the evening, and I'll ook forward to returning. But one has to choose with some care to get good value. The Margaritas were a disappointment. I will assume they were made with the better... read more

we had the steak fajitas and what they call carnitas. the fajitas were listed on the menu as being sizzling and were anything but. the steak was tough and unseasoned and the carnitas consisted of a scoop of gelatinous meat with an identity crisis. the remainder of the plates were filled with tasteless pureed beans that looked like dog poop,... This has always been my go to place for great drinks etc. We had a reservation for 11 of us and things didn't go well .. They had one waiter and no runners or help for the server. Note to management. Training is key. 1. Dishes weren't cleared and desert was brought out , with no clean silver 2. I... More

My Fiance and I frequent jalapenos every few months because we love the food the service and the drinks. Bottomless chips and salsa are always something to look forward to even if we just stop by the bar!

I love the food here, I always feel healthy when I eat here, home made Salsa. So good I sometimes buy it to go for home. Like chicken genaro, I order the Mexican veggies for a side with the black beans that are healthy. We have been coming here for over 10 years and always have a great meal and... More

Very good and authentic Mexican food, esp for the North Shore of Mass. We had a party of 8 on a Friday night and they seated us fast with a large table in the very back. Our server was super - she provided us great service. The food was delicious with huge portions and everything tasted great. The restaurant is... More

Years ago I spent a month traveling around Mexico, and I was surprised how good the food was. Ever since I've been consistently disappointed by restaurants in the US that call themselves Mexican. They are almost never authentic. At least not in the Northeast. But Jalapeno's is the real deal. First - the soft corn tortillas. Such a dominant flavor... More

Starts off with good selection of Mex beers and Margs. Good chips and salsa. Interesting menu of traditional mexican dishes everyone is familiar with as well as some more unusual items...One of my favorites is the Pay Azteca....a chicken & squash dish with lots of green tomatillo sauce and cilantro.

We just visited jalapeños whilst vacationing in rock port. We happened upon the restaurant and what a find it was ! The food was excellent and we were entertained by top notch musicians. An excellent evening and superb value for money. Check it out!

Restaurant was busy due to downtown block party so we sat at the bar. Started with cocktails which were fine. Complimentary nacho chips & salsa were OK, but salsa was needed some zing. We split seafood soup, which was bland & missing something. We added S&P, which helped. Finally, we split a chimichunga (spelling?) with rice. Both were bland but... More
