I love their lounge here it's roomy and has nice lighting. They have great appetizers, salads, seafood dishes, lamb and I love the greek combo plate. Get the sauce on the rice or do a 50/50 roast potatoes and rice. The lemon soup is great too.

The Aegean used to be our "go-to" place when we couldn't figure out where to go. Unfortunately, with staffing turnovers, as well as kitchen failures, I think the bloom is off the rose after all these years. While it is ok, and sometimes very good, the inconsistency makes it suspect and I do not rush there at all. That being... More

Back when I was attending Northeastern University, I used to walk over to Mass Ave to a little Greek Restaurant and have the Moussaka and Spinach Pie. It was a little expensive, about $5 for the entire meal, but it was a treat I indulged myself in every few weeks. Then I moved away and years later the restaurant was... More

We returned to the Aegean after a 2-3 year hiatus. It was not what it used to be. We ordered the Stuffed Grape Leaves platter, only to find taco-sized grape leaves filled with lumpy ground beef, extremely salty and practically inedible. The Leg of Lamb was no Leg, but thinly sliced rounds of unknown meat, accompanied by mashed potatoes drowned... More

Love the lamb appetizer and the broiled sole entree. Lemon potatoes are deliciously addictive. Greek salad with grilled shrimp is a very satisfying meal.

My fourth visit to this lovely restaurant away from the bustle of Boston but always find it busy and popular with customers. This last visit was rather peculiar with large group of Greek visitors having a wonderful time. I did not mind their rather high volume conversations. The food has always been good but even better are the drinks. Most... More

If you want to eat and leave, this is the place for you. I have visited The Aegean several times. The food is very good but on every visit they rush you and it is time for the bill before you even realize that you have eaten. To go for dinner to relax and visit with friends, go elsewhere. It is... Nothing great to rave about - the food is decent and average - it is always crowded but think it is an older crowd. The moussaka is very disappointing - such a staple greek dish and they make it entirely different than anywhere else and is not good in my estimation.

If you like Greek food or need a place to meet for a drink, visit the Aegean. The food and service have been consistently positive and the staff is always willing to make suggestions if you're having trouble deciding.

I went there on a Saturday and it was packed. The food and service was great. Since we did not have idea about Greek food we questioned the server and he was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this place and also make sure you have an reservation to avoid the wait.
