SO much better than when I was a kid, and it was great then!

I had no idea that there'd been a remodel, with new amenities and a huge parking lot. The menu is classic and yummy. I know you do your own salad dressing, but next time I'm getting it on the side because my greens were swimming. The bread is fresh, the linguini with clam sauce was perfect, the... read more

Went here twice since my partner likes tripe and it's too stinky to cook at home. He really likes theirs. I had the chicken parm lunch special the first time. Small portion- even the pasta. Sauce was OK at best. Salad was torn iceburg with a couple cherry tomatoes, a ring of sliced onion and a strip of green pepper.... More

Went on a Tuesday evening. No wait. Four people shared 2 pizza,s and a large antipasto. Antipasto delicious with a very nice amount of meats, cheeses very little salad. The pizza's were good but not enough toppings for the price you pay.

As a Framingham native this has been an old stand-by Italian food, moderate prices, and generous portions. My last couple of visits with family and friends have been a disappointment. The usual generous portions were skimpy, the sauce was greasy and tasteless and barely covered the pasta, the salad was served with a thimble full of their famous dressing and... More

After years of being a local family friendly restaurant with good affordable food La Cantina expanded and remodeled. Along with the renovation came increased prices and declining service and food quality. Eggplant Parm at $16.95 (breaded fried eggplant with some sauce thrown on), mediocre prime rib, and baked haddock with cracker crumbs that was barely edible. After three recent visits... More

Consistently great appetizers (the grilled risotto is delicious) and salad dressing! The entrees are only average. Marsala was ok, although the mushrooms were weak. The gnocchi was mealy.

Service was good but the food was mediocre. The veal parm was kinda cold and the sauce was a bit blah. Salad, the salad dressing and fresh bread were very good. Other members in our party enjoyed the chicken picatta.

My partner and I had the opportunity to go out for Easter and made the most by making reservations at the LA Cantina, in neighboring Framingham, which had been remodeled since our last visit 5-6 years ago. We started with unlimited salad and Italian bread and butter which was a wonderfull start to a great meal .Two of us then... More

My friends and I ate here the other night. We all had different meals and all of them were delicious. The food is good, the prices are fair and the service is the best. The building had gone through a major renovation and it looks fantastic. Inside secret, on Mondays they have the early bird specials all day.

Not a bad spot - just not great. It was obvious that this place cares more about their "regulars" (not all bad but don't make it obvious) than occasional diners. Not particularly welcoming. Food is decent but nothing to go out of your way for.
