Good family place

Consistently great appetizers (the grilled risotto is delicious) and salad dressing! The entrees are only average. Marsala was ok, although the mushrooms were weak. The gnocchi was mealy.

After years of being a local family friendly restaurant with good affordable food La Cantina expanded and remodeled. Along with the renovation came increased prices and declining service and food quality. Eggplant Parm at $16.95 (breaded fried eggplant with some sauce thrown on), mediocre prime rib, and baked haddock with cracker crumbs that was barely edible. After three recent visits... More

Service was good but the food was mediocre. The veal parm was kinda cold and the sauce was a bit blah. Salad, the salad dressing and fresh bread were very good. Other members in our party enjoyed the chicken picatta.

My partner and I had the opportunity to go out for Easter and made the most by making reservations at the LA Cantina, in neighboring Framingham, which had been remodeled since our last visit 5-6 years ago. We started with unlimited salad and Italian bread and butter which was a wonderfull start to a great meal .Two of us then... More

My friends and I ate here the other night. We all had different meals and all of them were delicious. The food is good, the prices are fair and the service is the best. The building had gone through a major renovation and it looks fantastic. Inside secret, on Mondays they have the early bird specials all day.

Not a bad spot - just not great. It was obvious that this place cares more about their "regulars" (not all bad but don't make it obvious) than occasional diners. Not particularly welcoming. Food is decent but nothing to go out of your way for.

Being Italian, and cooking a great deal of Italian, I tend to be fussy. Atmosphere was open and very family oriented. Menu was very expansive and included non Italian offerings. The delivery was rushed. We had not finished the appetizer and the soup and salad was delivered. Then, not being done with the salad, which was family style bowls, dinner... More

Typical American-Italian restaurant in terms of food and decor. We ordered off the early-bird special menu as we were told that the portions are a bit smaller and the prices are a bit less. The portions are very small and the prices were not that impressive. All meals include a salad and bread, both of which are unremarkable except if... More

Arrived after work at 3:30 for early bird dinner. They had 7 of us seated in a booth for 6. We asked to switch to a nearby table for 8, which was next to another empty table for 8. As we were having our salad, the hostess told us that the tables were reserved at 5pm for a party of... More

I have lived in Framingham for over 30 years. This has consistently been a wonderful place to go. Food is well prepared, very reasonably priced and service is always friendly.
