We visit this restaurant fairly often - at least twice a month. It's always good. If you don't want to wait on a weekend you need to be at the restaurant by 5, otherwise your wait can be anywhere from 5 minutes to 30. I love their bolognese sauce and always ask for extra. Their signature family size salad and... More

They more recently added the "Italiana" to the name so it would not be confused with the Mexican restaurants in the area with a similar name. We have had take out a handful of times over the years. In our last visit was similar to the others ... the food is not ready at the time of pick up. The... More

I went here recently after almost 20 years. The inside has been completely made over. It was clean and comfortable and yet there is an odd arrangement of booth chairs that seem to date the restaurant despite the make over. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was nothing extraordinary but tasty enough. The portions were generous. We started... More

The dishes are considerably over-valued, meaning only fair quality for the price. The sides were abominable and did not even resemble Italian cuisine. The all-you-can-eat salad was pure iceberg lettuce. The server worked hard and for the most part succeeded. The dessert tray consisted of what appeared to be either plastic replicas or last week's leftovers.

Saturdays my wife loves to dine here as that's the day that they serve 'tripe'....served just the way her mother made it....and no surprise, both my wife's family and the owners family came from the same town in Italy's Marche region which is located on the Adriatic Sea just west of Umbria Many of the recipes are the same ones... This place was just renovated so we thought we would give it a try. Ordered steak tips which were terrible! They tasted like pot roast. Salad was good, but no chance the tips came close to tasting like steak tips. Price was 10.99 (early bird) but I'd rather be charged more and get actual steak tips. Guess we should have... More

We have been dining here for 20 years and it's hard to write a negative review on such a mainstay, but unfortunately it seems to be going downhill. Over the last 3-4 times eating here the food consistently came out cold and had to be sent back or took an absurd amount of time to get. When we complained on... More

We went last night for an Aunt's 90th birthday gathering. For that event, it was perfect. Very casual with helpful, attentive service. It is the kind of place to go if you can't figure out exactly were you want to go, but just know that is isn't your own kitchen. The place was packed when we walked in at 6:30... More

La Cantina was my favorite restaurant for YEARS. I still think the food is good but the quality of the overall experience and customer service has gone WAY down lately. (And this is coming from someone who was once chased out of this restaurant by a waitress in 2001.) I went there for lunch with my mother the other day.... More

We have visited this restaurant frequently and it's always a good, but not great neighborhood experience. The service is always good and the food generally fine. A few years ago the menu was broadened and the place redecorated. Many improvements were made. I would have like to see an improved green salad offered instead of the mostly iceberg salad that...
