My Wife had eggs benedict which she loved. I had Portuguese omelet (stuffed with linguica, Portuguese cheese and parsley), toasted Portuguese bread with tasty home fries which was really good and filling but I needed something to bring back to the hotel so I could make breakfast each morning so I also got the marinated pork and more home fries.... We had breakfast at the bakery, but I probably wouldn't return. My husband loved the roll his breakfast sandwich was served on, but the rest of the meal was kind of plain tasting. It seemed like the locals enjoy eating there, and they were greeted with jokes and laughter. We felt we got the cold shoulder service as outsiders. The... More

We stumbled on Mary Ellen's and had a good breakfast. Not at all fancy but that's how we like it. We would go back if we were in the area again.

If you have to wait it's worth it. The small but adequately supplied Portuguese case is a delight. It's a nice diner with very helpful staff and modest prices. Now that it's off season you'll see us there quite often.

Locals go here for breakfast and lunch - need I say more? First prize goes to the caciola (Portuguese pulled pork stew) for lunch, served with rice and beans and a buttered fresh Portuguese roll. Basic and a treat for your taste buds.

Had Portuguese bread French toast yesterday and veggie plus egg white omelet today. Wonderful just right portion. Raisin toast was loaded with raisins. Got kale soup take out yesterday and warmed two bowls for lunch. Don't leave without taking a loaf of bread with you

Great food, friendly staff, and no frills. I had the french toast and it was delicious! Good spot for a quick breakfast before you get your day going.
