The restaurant was recommended by our B&B and she rightly described it, atmosphere, unpretentious but busy & fun. Exactly as described. The fresh oysters were great, but the sauces pre-portioned in plastic takeout holders didn't do the presentation any justice. My mussels were OK, very standard wine, garlic broth. My wife prawn cocktail were not super tasty fresh but big... More

I arrived at the Quarterdeck around 9:00 PM as the regulars were finishing. The restaurant is an honest seafood restaurant, not particular fancy, but with fresh perfectly cooked food. They had two sizes of lobster - 1.25 and 2.25 pounds. Of course they were out of the small ones, so I had the largest lobster I had ever eaten, and... More

Their chowder had some bits of clam which were tough and rubbery -- inedible! Taste of the broth was okay, but thin (they were sparing of the cream, and did not seem to use any thickening). My BLT was quite good (if you like it with regular supermarket style sandwich bread) with farm fresh lettuce and tomatoes, and exceptionally good... More

Overpriced, overrated. I do not like to support mediocrity, and that's all I can say about this restaurant.

We have always fit the quarterdeck into annual visits to Falmouth but it will not be on my list in the future. Several of us went for an early dinner midweek. We were seated quickly and the waitress was delightful. The food, however, was really disappointing. A scallop salad with the house vinaigrette had no flavor of dressing....also got a... More

We. Heard good things about this restaurant so while on vacation we stopped in for dinner. I had swordfish, which was really good. My friend had fried oysters. She said they were the best she's ever had. On the down side....it was uncomfortably cold and our waitress was quite rude.

Skip this place! My family and I had the worst dining experience ever. Terrible and rude waitress and manager. Food was disappointing as well...and very overpriced.

The Quarterdeck was recommended to us by a local for their huge lobster salad sandwich on Portuguese bread. Although it looked great, we were "seafooded out" after two weeks in Cape Cod so we opted for the prime rib. My husband ordered the King Cut, which was astoundingly huge and delivered just as he requested (still twitching). My Queen Cut... More

The food can be satisfying, the service helpful and friendly and if you enjoy a ball game find a seat at the bar all are welcomed. A rustic atmosphere.

You won't be disappointed with this restaurant. Great food, neat atmosphere and competitive prices to others in town. This is the sister restaurant to the famous "Chart Room" in Cataumet and offers their clam chowder and lobster on tomato (or on portuguse bread).
