Good food, nice atmosphere

The Quarterdeck was a last minute find for me and my boyfriend. We were seated promptly and our waitress was very nice. The food was a blend of American fare and seafood. For years, the Quarterdeck was a reliable stand-by for a good meal and pleasant, if busy, atmosphere. However. the last time we tried to get in the "hostess" was so inconsiderate - we'll never go back. While posing as a pleasant greeter, the "wait time" kept changing. Couples who arrived well after us were seated while we continued waiting. When... More

We ate here two nights running during our recent stay in Falmouth. From the outside it doesn't look particularly appealing but inside you get a warm welcome and the food we had was amazing. We've visited the U.S. Many times and I can honestly say that this is the best we've ever had. Decor is rustic, furniture basic, food, out... More

In lieu of going to the Pilot House in Sandwich we opted to try the Quarterdeck in Falmouth based on reviews. Imagine our surprise when we looked at the menu and it was EXACTLY the same as the Pilot House menu. Turns out both have the same owner. Now this isn't a bad thing. We ordered familiar items we've had... More

Worst dinner ever! The service was terrible as well as food. My family and I will never go there again and would like to warn the public about this awful place. I don't even want to think about that evening and go into details, it's how unpleasant was that experience. Just avoid this place. This is not a restaurant, it's... More

I have been going to this place for decades. The ownership has changed three times but the place stays consistent in its mission of being reliably the same. Good food, good cocktails a friendly and informed staff.

After dodging turkeys (wild ones) on the sidewalk on a cold day the place was warm, inviting, and an antique nautical feel. Being off season and 1:00pm the place was 1/2 capacity. We sat down and ordered cocktails gin tonic and cape codder. They were pleasantly strong and refreshing. The waitress was a little on the distracted side she was... More

I have had mixed experiences here, but overall it is good, solid food. The most recent visit we had shrimp and scallops in a roasted tomato sauce with garlic, basil and asparagus, fish and chips and duck breast. All the dishes were good but not memorable. I do love the decor and comfy, homey feeling. Plan ahead in summertime as... More

I have eaten here before, but this is my first TA review of the restaurant. I thought the meal was a little pricey for the quality that was served to me. Either the entrées should be priced lower or the quality improved. The staff was nice, but the tables are a bit drafty in the main room in front of... More

Great seafood and atmosphere. Had dinner there on Friday and watched the game Saturday. The staff is always friendly and there are characters at the bar who have lived in falmouth their whole lives.
