Wonderful meal, great service, best meal we had on our New England trip

Our party of 4 had a wonderful meal at this lovely restaurant. My husband and I both had fish and each was perfectly and creatively prepared. Particular dishes we enjoyed were a melon gazpacho soup, heirloom tomato salad, and the raspberry mojito was particularly notable (not too sweet-yes!). One... read more

Two of us went to the Glass Onion on a Friday night in the summer. We got there around 8:30 and only had to wait for about 15 minutes for a table and had a drink while we did. There were at least four other parties of two waiting after us. The wait was worth it! The service was friendly,... More

My boyfriend and I came near closing time, we're from NYC and aren't used to eating earlier or having restaurants close so early in the evening, but the staff was charming and didn't even blink before they seated us. The food was phenomenal, and there was a busboy there that deserves a HUGE raise and a job in one of... More

The food is certainly creative and superbly prepared, and the service is very good (no clearing of one plate before everyone at the table is finished), if a bit too quick (our amuse bouche arrived even before water did). But is the experience worth a 60-90 minute wait if you come at a reasonable dining time, or arriving at 5pm,... More

Visited at 5 at opening because of the other waiting comments. Not an issue but could see seating as an issue later in the evening. Appetizer was oyster with cucumbers and with oil and lemon. Entre was lobster and Shrimp w risotto was outstanding as was swordfish w lentils, asparagus, in cream sauce. Service was superb. Very attentive but allowed... More

The service is excellent. The food is top-notch. A grand place to celebrate an anniversary or birthday, the choices are elegant and the presentation creative. Not inexpensive but worth every penny.

Right near the very top of our New England summer getaway dining experience was The Glass Onion. Being a huge Beatles fan , I had to see if they were worthy of their moniker. I approached this with a "Don't Let Me Down" attitude and "Do you Want to Know A Secret?"...I am so glad I was singing :"Got to... More

As others have noted, you cannot make a reservation, but my husband walked over from our Inn, gave our names and cell number, and they called us within half an hour. We enjoyed the most amazing meal with friendly, attentive service. Definitely worth the wait.

I was shocked to read some recent reviews about what I consider to be one the finest, most comfortable, most delicious and laid back fine dining establishments I have been to in my life. I have been going to the Glass Onion for years and continuously say to my husband and my children that there is no better meal from... More

We were told at 6 pm on Saturday that we would have to wait 1 hour (this is a no reservations restaurant). We were istrcted to wait in the entryway/porch/hallway. We took two of the four chairs, avoiding the bench seating. We were allowed to order drinks (which we didn't) but nothing to sate our hope for something to eat.... More
