Let's begin by saying this restaurant was raved about by our innkeeper, townsfolk and many others. Coming from a huge city we know fine dining. This was not a memorable meal for our anniversary. We did get seated promptly on a Friday night but we ate very early. Service was exceptionally slow; over two hours for what? I had the... More

My wife and I went here for a pre anniversary dinner. We did not have to wait long, we did have to wait for bread and our waiter. The lobster chowder was ok, the veal tenderloin was not that tender and the torte was the best part of the meal. Overall not worth the cost.

All in all a very pleasant restaurant experience. The restaurant is early 1900's vintage, decorated beautifully and set up in a couple rooms. Big glass paned windows across the front of the restaurant. A few minutes wait in the front got us a window side table and a pleasant waiter. Service was attentive and food arrived in a nice pace.... For a decade milestone birthday a special place is needed. The Glass Onion is well qualified. All our food selections were great & the Swordfish entrée & Lobster Strudel were over-the-top. This is a memorable restaurant for a memorable moment. Service was excellent too.

We planned to arrive at 530 pm as they do not take reservations and the restaurant is very small. Lovely atmosphere, very attentive service. Corn bisque with wild mushrooms was excellent, rich flavor. The elk special with wild mushroom risotto ordered by my husband was so good, the plate was completely clean. He stated the sauce was excellent. I ordered... More

Anytime we have a special occasion this is one of our choices. The best quality upscale restaurant on the Cape. The service is always excellent and so are the entrées. They have an amazing wine selection. Perfect for a romantic evening.

We arrived at 7:00 to be told we would have to wait 1 1/2 hours for table. You can sit and have a drink in the reception area although the seating is hard, a few cushions would help to avoid a numb bum. Personally, I did not think the food was worth the wait, it was good but nothing special,... More

On a very warm and muggy night to wait two hours for a table. I am sure that a credit card secured guaranteed reservation system could be put in lace.

You must get the lobster strudel. It was rich and the perfect way to start your meal. The service was very good. A nice romantic restaurant.
