Very friendly and meal was great. Great Portuguese food never rushed through your meal and they have specials ask well. The portuguese soup is excellent and always a little different. Easy parking

As several reviews have indicated, the outside facade does not provide any insight to what type of food served inside. Our friends who are locals to Fall River (and just got back from the Azores) said that the inside is what you would see in a traditional Portuguese restaurant. Our server was very attentive and answered our questions about the... More

The restaurant did not look like a Portuguese restaurant on the outside, nor did the name give it away. I was so pleased to have picked this restaurant while in Fall River. The food was really, really good. The waiter, John, was very helpful with the wine list and answered my questions about the menu as if my husband and... More

You would never think that this is a Portuguese Restaurant from the name. However this Fall River Massachusetts restaurant serves some of the best Portuguese food outside of Portugal. The staff is friendly and doesn't rush you. They have a very good wine list. I had a form of Portuguese pork and potato stew that was excellent. The restaurant is... More

The food is prepared in the old fashioned manner of the Azores. Derek and him father bring a taste of the old country to the states. They have been cooking meals in this fashion for many years. The shrimp "clipper" style is out of this world If you like liver this is the best if you don't care for liver... More

I've never had Portuguese food but we decided to try it anyways. The server was super nice but because we were unfamiliar with the food titles, we just asked for the recommendations. We had the shrimp app which was really good. It was a butter, garlic, and hot sauce mix. I had the clipper steak which was a huge portion.... More

Ate at Clipper several weeks ago with two women from Portugual. One had just arrived and the other has been here 20 plus years. The decor has an old Portuguese look. Probably hasn't changed since they opened. Our waiter was from the Azores so somewhat authentic. We ordered two orders of codfish cakes as starters. After waiting about half an... More

In response to "Hangout", you must have been on the barside of the restaurant not the dining side. The restaurant owner does not allow "hanging out" in the dining room. However, as far as my rating goes....this is the best Portuguese restaurant by far. I lived in Swansea most of my life and looked forward to dining at the Clipper... More

I live in the city, and this was my first visit to the Clipper. It will not be my last. The food was just delicious. From the time we walked in until the time we left everything was great. The waiter was wonderful and could not do enough for us. I would guess that if I were in Portugal, this... More
