It was one of our favorite restaurants when we lived in Fairhaven. Excellent food & BYOB. Even their burgers were delicious!

I miss living next to this restaurant. The freshest seafood is always served by the friendly waitstaff. There is something on the menue to suit everyone's tastes. The varieties offered make your mouth water. My staple is always on hand but the specials always lure me away. The atmosphere is calm, inviting, and relaxing. You are never rushed and all... More

Boat problems got us to and had us stay for two weeks in Fairhaven. 10 minutes walking from the shipyard we discovered Margaret's where we went in for lunch. Delicious fresh seafood, unexpected taste combinations, nicely presented on the plate, friendly service, moderately priced. We obviously weren't the only ones to have discovered this restaurant: with all tables occupied, people... More

Margaret's restaurant has been a real staple in our town of Fairhaven, MA for many years. All the food they serve is fantastic! The breakfasts are great, serving homemade muffins and all the desserts are also homemade for an extra treat after one of their delicious entrees. I believe the owner also owns fishing boats, so fresh fish is always... More

I would love to give this restaurant a great review because the food was delicious. And it sits at the end of a bike trail. However they clearly did not like us. Service was efficient but decidedly unfriendly throughout our meal. We heard every other table being offered and even coaxed into looking at a dessert menu, we were given... More

Everybody we met in Fairhaven referred us to Margaret's with the caveat that if we were going to dinner it was BYOB. As it turned out we ate back to back meals there - dinner and breakfast the next morning. As you walk in, there is an immediate down to earth, local feeling. Although we are not locals we were... Located in historic old town section of Fairhaven, within sight of the fishing boats that daily bring in the fresh fish that this restaurant is famous for, this unassuming house gives no clues of the dining experience that awaits. Just two dining rooms in an old house, the front of which affords great views of their talented chefs at work,... More

This was our first visit to Margarets and we were taken there by local friends who said it was their favorite. When we first got there it certainly did not look impressive in any respect. Our hosts told us that it was known for the fish and seafood and they were correct. The menu was nice and had several choices... More

Very well run restaurant with fair prices and decent portions. My fried clams were cooked perfectly but were a bit chewy. My wife's haddock dish was gourmet quality and she brought home half of it. Service was excellent!

BYOB food is great. Lots of local flavors, staff knows their stuff. Have been going there fro 20 years and love it for breakfast lunch and dinner.
